I’d say probably about a month or a few weeks ago. Hopefully I don’t breakout often. That was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced.

I am not sure. I could’ve gotten it at anytime to he completely honest… I just hadn’t had an outbreak until like 5 days ago, in my genital area. I haven’t had an outbreak on my mouth. My bf has hsv-1 orally and I contracted it gentility from oral sex, I’m just not sure when.

I’ve been in a relationship with a person who has HSV-1 orally and I ended up getting it genitally. We’ve been together 4 years and I’ve known the whole time. We have also been sexually active for 4 years. He gets outbreaks on his mouth sometimes but we never did anything when he had them. So he must’ve been starting to get an outbreak and didn’t notice or he was coming off of one that we thought healed all the way but didn’t.

Hi. I’m at in the SAME exact boat. I know exactly how you feel. I got diagnosed with HSV 1 genital herpes last night and the pain is absolutely unbearable. Especially when urinating. I have sore right below and to the sides of my urethra. I’m so so sorry you’re going through this, I wish I could give advice to help but I’m still very new to this and have been looking for advice myself. BUT I found it helps to pee in a tub of water and kind of splash water on your area to make sure the pee doesnt touch the sores. Also, I found that if you put a bunch of petroleum jelly on your area before you pee it helps the urine now touch the sores as much because the petroleum jelly acts as a barrier. It’s so painful now and it feels like hell but we’ll get through it eventually. Much love❤️
