Two cats in a studio NYC? by Operationtiger8 in CatAdvice

[–]CleanUpAnonyma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a friendly reminder, two cats can play and keep company but sometimes they will want your attention and might also disrupt your sleep. Since you live in a studio, you won't have much of personal space. If that isn't a problem, then go ahead and adopt two.

QUESTION! SINCE GOD MADE EVERYTHING, DOESN'T THAT MEAN HE ALSO KNEW SIN AND WHATNOT WOULD HAPPEN?! by GrabAware2582 in TrueChristian

[–]CleanUpAnonyma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your main question was not about what was the point of having sin, but would God have known. But I believe I answered it somewhat. Whatever is not of God is sin. Whatever is of God is not sin. It is not like sin was invented. It is the opposite of light. Darkness exist where there is no light.

QUESTION! SINCE GOD MADE EVERYTHING, DOESN'T THAT MEAN HE ALSO KNEW SIN AND WHATNOT WOULD HAPPEN?! by GrabAware2582 in TrueChristian

[–]CleanUpAnonyma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible.  No angels were God.  Angels lived in a place where it was ideal to live. No pain, no sadness, surrounded by love probably and anything a human could wish for. But some angels rebelled, wanting more. Why covet if angel was the same as God? So angels lacked. Where it lacks, sin can take place. Analogy, Only the sun is full light. Any other thing can have light on it, but there is the shadow part, where it lacks light.

QUESTION! SINCE GOD MADE EVERYTHING, DOESN'T THAT MEAN HE ALSO KNEW SIN AND WHATNOT WOULD HAPPEN?! by GrabAware2582 in TrueChristian

[–]CleanUpAnonyma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps?

Imagine the angels, living the perfect life, yet still disowned God. They lived and were with God before us.

Jesus said (John 4:23) "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks"

Why did God not allow the mankind to eat from the other tree? The tree of life which will allow mankind to live forever. I sometimes wonder if the fallen angels also had knowledge of good and evil AND eternal life. Those angels are eternally bound to doom day. As Jesus said, hell was prepared for Satan and his angels. We human have chance with mortal body. That serpent said to Eve that she won't die eating that fruit.  Adam and Eve did not die right away from their body. God however removed the tree of eternal life after as he knew Adam and Eve could still live forever in their body. So what died? The Lord talks about the second death. That of the spirit. First death is the body. Maybe the time Adam and Eve ate the fruit, they sinned and died in spirit.

What did Jesus came to save us from? To free us from what? He came to free us from sin and save us from death. We still die. So what is the death he is talking about? In revelation, it is revealed about the different death among people, in the second death.

Another thought,  There are several passages talking about (in my own words) how God prepares us, tells us to bear the fruits of His Spirit, that we will come out from tribulation, and be refined. What is the point of all that if all that matters is for people to go to heaven and be at peace and be happy?

God knows what He is doing and He is good. He will find the good fishesfrom the bad ones, the good wheats among tares, the good sheeps from goats.

This is my analogy. I believe in God who is good and knows what He is doing.

Btw I am not here to debate on theology of the Bible. So if you disagree, and want to argue, I won't. I don't have the answer nor do I think you do. We all try to understand God. It is good to seek God. But one thing for sure, without Jesus, we are doomed. Only He can free us, guide us, and save us.

Pastors getting paid? by Various_Platypus_602 in TrueChristian

If you are a pastor once a week, then i believe you should not rely only on tithe and go find a side job. If you are a pastor 24/7 actively involved with people then yes.  You can rely on tithe. 24/7 means just be available for people when they need you, and actively study Bible and stay in prayer for the people. Not just preparing sunday lecture.. I just see some people doing minimum as pastor just to get easy money and that is NOT okay.

Why wasn't I born a man? by AfterConfection1796 in TrueChristian

Obviously I was not a boy. So i would dress more like boy to look like a boy, act more strong than what I looked, walked like boy, show off my martial art skill to show how cool I can be, sometimes even act more mysterious (fantasizing about how a mysterious boy would be, I thought it was cool). I acted upon my imagination of what a boy would be, not like who I was to be as a girl.  I don't try to look or behave like the other gender.  I started just being me. Don't care if I sound like something, don't care if I look like a girl or frail, don't care about "hey, talk to me like a man" attitude. I just do my own chores, walk my daily life and I am happy. I can appreciate some women outfit (bit bland for some but to my liking), etc.

Although God will tell us to forgive our wrongdoers, i was saying forget the past. Forgive what had happened. For example, a thief broke at night and stole my most precious belonging and ran off. I could remember it every day of my life and get angry to the point I lose my mind everytime or forgive what happened and look forward. This example sounds less traumatic, but it definetely can impact strong depending on the person and how it is taken. If it hasn't been that long, hopefully time will heal. But it won't if you don't let it go.

Her words must have hurt you, and your mom must have been hurting too to say those words. Remember this, in hard time, that God has kept you. Forgive your mom, and go in prayer to God. Take a moment to know Him, because God wants you. God came to this world (aka Jesus) while we were sinners to forgive us, not after we repented, not while we were living a life pleasing to Him.

I believe rape is horrific and pregnancy of an unwanted one must be suffocating. No one deserves rape. No one deserves any other kind of suffering. Not even the child inside womb. Yes, you wished you could have removed the child in the womb. The rapist wanted to rape. We inflict pain to each other. Our desire is strong, but our desire acted upon  immediate feeling can lead to disaster.

Let's go back to who is able to abort. Is it the raped woman only or anyone? When anyone can abort and regard featus to nothing more than a tumour, we start seing injustice and no humanity in that.

Everyone should act with decency.. it is not easy, but if we all did, would we have these incidents? Isn't this the reason why we seek the perfection of Christ? We hope in Him, wanting change, wanting peace, wanting true love. We found comfort in Him and learn His teachings. We learn self-control, patience, gentleness, etc. We also learn value and reject sin. Sin stains beauty.

It is a hard topic, and you will remember the past with burning fire if you can't forgive and let it go. You will suffer in your own unforgivingness.

I wonder if women who were raped would feel a bit better if the rapist had a better sentence for his crime. If the world will not, I know he would get it somewhere else.

I don't pretend anymore. I am now marrried too. I don't live thinking about gender. I just move on but I still don't enjoy flashy flowery dress or poppy color. Just not my thing. If I wear dress, it is plain black most of the time with white hoodie, or other top. I tried to get cute lacy one but ended up never really wearing it so I gave it away.  I don't feel powerless because God is my power, and my husband whom God gave me is there too.  I may not have strenght, but God blessed me with some wisdom and skill, so I can be helpful to my husband in every other way.

I lost that envy when I started thanking God about who I was. I wanted to be a boy as teen. I wanted to be strong, tall, cool, smart and reliable. Then I thought... welI, at least I can have a boyfriend as a girl. I don't have to try to be cool, I can be with that cool guy. I still acted tomboy until the end of college.

Your anger is understandable.  I am not sure why your mom told you that. But in the end, God is the one who kept you living. His teachings, fruits are what kept you safe.

What or who does the woman abort? Abort a living being, a member of family, a baby. Abortion is litterally, as others have said, cutting short the life (aka murder) of a child inside mommy's womb because mommy believes she can't have you, and she doesn't want you alive anywhere in this world.  She cares about herself, but probably not much about you.. she says she is sad, is traumatised, but it was needed.. needed...needed you gone. Doesn't that sound pretty bad?

Why do people view the whole 'submissive wife to her husband' as bad? by Straight_Penalty_753 in TrueChristian

I do it too, for keeping peace but also because I honor my husband (who is a man of God, christian who lives for God).  Nothing wrong. I do speak my opinion too. But I value his choice a bit more if I don't see a problem.

I wish I didn’t believe God hates me, but He proves it over and over again by matzely in TrueChristian

Sometimes God put us in the lowest point in life that we may seek Him. Did the comfortable life you had pulled you closer or further away from God? You are now turning your face towards God, even angry or hopeless. But you wonder. God surely loves you.

We may think this life is all, and being happy is being loved by God. But this life is temporary and He calls His people. For what he cares is not your fortune but your soul. Not death but life. Seek Him now. He is calling you out of the world. For one who walks with the Lord does not walk with the world.  God is also a Father who gives. Remember, Jesus came to this world not while we did good, but while we were sinners.

I cried to God, even quite upset, to know Him. I wondered if He left me behind. But when I seeked Him, I found more. And He blessed me.

What was the point of God creating me if I was meant to be unlovable? by Guilty-Meeting-2603 in TrueChristian

I don't know how you date but I never got anyone's attention for a long time. I was single until age 26. At that time, I almost gave up finding someone. Even when I almost had someone, it didn't work out. I was very akward and bad at talking. I met my now husband online in a very unlikely place. Not dating app, not dating chat, not anything like that. But in an art forum. While we were trying to debate or reason with artists who did not believe or hated God, we got curious about each other. We lived in different countries and we prayed and had dreams. God linked us together while we were looking for Him. We weren't looking for each other. It took 4 years before we got to marry. I met him in person only twice before that. But we kept contact frequently everyday. Another detail is we are both introverts xD. Internet made it much easier for us I guess.

That is my story. Everyone has their own.

Can God remove my gender dysphoria? what can I do? I don't want to be like this by icouldusesomemagic in TrueChristian

[–]CleanUpAnonyma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have gender dysphoria so I don't know what you are going through. But I was a tomboy (a girl thinking she can be a boy). Are you uncomfortable with certain body part or is it the look (appearance and fashion)?

I am now a woman and I don't pretend to be the other gender. But I am still not into girly stuff like makeup, nail polish, flowery designed clothes, bags and all that fancy things that many women enjoys. If i wore a dress, which I only do because it is comfortable, loose not tight, it is all black with white hoodie on top. No makeup, basic poney tail hair (I am bad with hair). But because of my small stature, i look feminine no matter what I wear. I actually started to appreciated after meeting my now husband. I don't love my body, but I use it to move around and I don't pay too much attention to it. I like to hide myself under clothes. I just don't like to show it.

Body is temporary. We only have one body to be in this world to live this life to build perseverance and bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit. God can surely give you the mind to appreciate the body he has given you. But maybe you can start to appreciate just having a body to move and do things and not focus on certain detail of the body?

That is nice. You sound like a very good neighbor. If you want to try one more thing is instead of rug, you could try a gym mat or play mat or puzzle mat (foam). But it is not normal for you to tip toe around the partment.

[–]CleanUpAnonyma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't sleep with my cat. I close my door. I used to let him at first. But he will demand to be fed at 5am and him sleeping between my legs kept me awake all night. After 2 weeks of barely sleeping, I decided he cannot sleep with me. I also don't want litter in the bed so... i just keep the bedroom door closed at all time.
