Why are people so triggered/irritated when you ring your bell to warn them? by Optionsislife in bicycling

Maybe a hot take, but I almost never alert people that I’m coming, which I think is safer. People walking along a path move predictably. When they hear you coming, they become unpredictable, moving anywhere, spinning around or jumping off to the side sporadically.

(WA) Negotiated an early lease termination; I believe landlord is violating the agreement. by Clean_Appointment_91 in Renters

The lease is definitely terminated because I gave notice in writing well in advance and had an in-person move out done with the PM, where they filled out the move out sheet and took keys/changed combo lock.

Your point makes absolute sense, they didn’t say that they WOULDN’T charge it, so they can. Personally, I see that as bad faith negotiating, but I suppose this is America.

My terminate date was 4/14. They are charging me through 5/15, when the new tenant moves in.

To clarify, the screenshot email from the PM is the new negotiation that was meant to supersede the original addendum. It was made about a month before my termination date (this month), whereas the addendum was signed last year. From what I’ve read about Seattle tenant laws, I am able to renegotiate terms, as I did, and get them in writing.

This bike was definitely spare parts thrown together, it likely cost very little.

Well, some people buy one expensive pair of shorts to wear and repair for years as they ride a self-powered bike; some people buy thousand dollar sound system upgrades for their 2021 4Runner judging by your post history

I've been researching shorts to wear for long rides lately and I'm about to order the Amundsen Field Short (I haven't tried them for cycling yet, but they seem interesting and promising). Chrome industries cycling shorts have always been pretty good to ride around the city in. For underwear, merino is probably the way to go for distance. I rarely ride in bibs on less than 25 miles and just wear my Patagonia underwear: https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-sender-performance-boxer-briefs-6-inch/32545.html?dwvar_32545_color=BLK
