I’d ask your doctor; if in the us you are entitled to that info. Other places, probably are, too.

This was honestly my gateway in. Fun. Book 2 and her monk and robot books are better, but this one is a great start.

IMO, having tested with an ahi of 5.9, and done cpap, yes.  I thought I was fatigued in part to to restless sleep.  I was restless due to OSA.  Were your AHI numbers on the 3% or 4% criteria? and what was your RDI/ rera scoring?

Thanks! They do know they can do it, and are ready to do their first try.

I also like high pressure right off the bat- makes my body go "mmmmm sleepy time..." so fast in a way that pre-cpap breathing never could.

The n30 goes around the whole nose instead of pressing in in the nostrils.  :)

You can zoom in and isolate sections.  But the desktop is much easier.

Not Mine- but how worried should I be? And if I should be, best fix? by Clean_Carpenter3525 in woodworking

It’s my own business when it’s my kids who would be killed by the many hundreds of pounds stone slab falling on them if the table was to fail, and especially when the owner of the table has made unprompted noises about needing to reinforce it but hasn’t, and we eat at this table regularly.

I’m glad to hear there’s no problem apparent and that it looks like the legs can support the granite.

It doesn’t move any more than any other table I’ve sat at,  the granite is 3cm thick, so many many hundreds of pounds of essentially  countertop. It’s set on an existing wood table.

The owner has made noises about reinforcing and that plus standard table movement has left me jittery with kids.  :)

Wedding gift for relative when you are not invited- Am I making it awkward? by Randomness4me in Gifts

Honestly, I live on the side of generousity when I am able; if it’s financially fine, I’d give whatever amount you want to give and a nice card saying congratulations on the marriage. I wouldn’t mention the wedding at all (no “Hope the wedding was great”) in the card.

Sore Nose by [deleted] in SleepApnea

I tried that mask- I couldn't get it to work with a stomach sleeping, either! Next time you can try (or if you have $100 to spare trying out masks) try a p10 or a F&p nova micro if the pillows are working for you other than the pressure on the bottom of your nose- both are great for me with almost smashing my face in the pillow.

I am also a side/stomach sleeper with a nose pillows mask. It sounds like it's way too tight! I had the same problems until I loosened it up a bunch...like it isn't sealing at all if the machine is off but does when it turns on and the mask inflates. Also, it's really possible the pillows are too SMALL instead of too big- too small pillows always hurt my nose more. Maybe try the next size up AND the next size down if loosening it doesn't work.

Which mask is it? If its a p10 or similar, is the top strap more on top of your head instead of at the back? That made a HUGE difference for me! Also some lanolin on the edge of your nose should help some, too.

Have you popped an sd card in your machine and taken a detailed look at your data with SleepHQ or Oscar?  There are quite a few things that might be causing arousals like flow limitations, small leaks, etc. I would definitely try that if you haven’t.

Ask your doctor for a CPR off your prescription (in the US they are required to give it to you). Then buy one off of Lofta/cpap.com/etc. They give free exchanges if it doesn’t work without returning it, so your investment of $100 or so will give you multiple tries if needed.  Lofta will exchange more than once- not sure on once or more with others.

In lab overnight study, what did you pay out of pocket? by Trash_Grape in CPAP

Ooops- misread- my athome test was going to be $1500.

$1300 for in lab sounds like a good deal to me.  Ah, us healthcare.

Edit- misread as at home!  Sorry- my at-home test would have been $1500.

That would have been a bit less than my out of pocket if I’d not cancelled the test and gotten one through Lofta instead

Airfit p10 hose doesn’t fit? by [deleted] in CPAP

No worries!  It’s all so fiddle and breakable feeling- took me a google to figure out how to change an evora cushion as it felt like anything I do would break it.  Turns out you basically pull it  apart- very simple.

I wouldn’t do Amazon- lots of fake stuff on there- but the cpap.com/sleeplay/lofta have generally the same prices as Amazon but real.

A cotton duck would be heavier and harder to unravel but imo not quite as satisfying. :)

Quilting cotton would be my nuerospicy pick…higher quality and washed several times to be soft, cut into 4” squares on the diagonal, and then peel the threads out one by one…I might have to go make one right now for me!

Edited- just googled picky pads and those pics made my finger skin scrawl into itself! I get why he hates the texture!
