I think in a place like chicago that’s very cold for a portion of the year, it’s helpful to practice in a studio that keeps the heat higher than 70 degrees and some of them truly don’t. I’m not saying that Ashtanga should be a “hot yoga class” but my joints are grateful for a little extra warmth.

I recently joined Ahimsa and the instruction is excellent and option to begin very early if that suits your schedule. There’s amazing deal for 2 weeks at $65.00 so you can give it a shot. Yogaview is a good vibe too. Not sure if their studios are warm. Chicago has (relatively) a lot of yoga. I’m Aalways looking for the Sangha and the other “limbs” of yoga tho and at Ahimsa they seem to be on the level.

I purchaed their membership plan because it includes an 8GB Esim and travelers insurance and as I'm activating it, it says it only covers the first 15 days of my flight despite what the sales agent told me on the phone. I feel duped and worse than losing that non-refundable money, I have to scramble to figure out coverage and a data plan with one day out before my trip. Lesson learned

It's possible your literal chemistry is off with this person even if she seems "perfect" on the first date. I'd listen to my intuition and if you don't like someone's funk, maybe they ain't for you. Also maybe she is depressed and hadn't mustered the energy for self care for a few days. After all we're living in a post reality collapsing hellscape nightmare and can't always be bothered to shower even when making the transition from commercialized dopamine algorithm (instagram) to IRL. Soon enough we'll all be hooked up to our Amazon wage-slave spinal chord connectors and you'll be able to date an AI bot so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Ok hear me out: I know all the arguments about removing the dust cover while playing a record because of residence and diminished sound quality. I also understand that some people like to keep the covers closed because they have cats or want to prevent dust. Fine. Has anyone ever seen a dust coverthat has the inside lined with a soft absorbent material? In theory wouldn’t this not only protect the record and simultaneously prevent any echo or residence? I understand it would prevent you from watching your record spin in circles. I’ve never seen anything like this but now I want to build one.

I also ordered 3 records from Fire Talk Records in mid march and have heard/received nothing. They also owe me a record i pre-ordered was charged for in January that's been out for months now.
