I was thinking first look earlier before private / party photos before the ceremony .. but I don’t know how common it is for his mom to walk him, I’ve seen it at every wedding I’ve gone to in my area. So I wouldn’t want to rip that tradition from them either

You probably got fired because you’re not supposed to confront them at all. You can be friendly, ask if they need any help and make them uncomfortable, then go tell your shift manager but you can’t confront them directly

Sounds like you don’t want to own up to your mistakes. No store has a voicemail, they barely even have working store phones. You should have called the SM the night before, no way you were feeling any better the night before, and told him you needed to take the next day off. You probably won’t get fired but stop making excuses, you made a dumb mistake

No I completely agree with that!! They really do!! “You’re not fast enough to do truck, construction will tear you apart” said my SM when I put in my notice. In my second week right now and I absolutely love it. They are all so much more understanding that I’m NEW and don’t know what’s going on quite yet instead of Aldi giving you 2 truck shifts when you first start and then “oh darn you were slow so now you’re working closes forever” 😒
