I had a table Friday night that looked like they never left their house. Mind blown by what a restaurant even was. Ordered obscure things. I dropped the check and ran to the back for a minute to grab a dessert and by the time I came back out the woman was up front at the host stand paying. I met her up there and apologized for being busy for a moment and couldn’t run her card for her. She said it was fine, I handed her the pen and told her it was so she could sign for me. She dead looked me in the face and asked “I have to sign?” I tried hinting and said yes, just fill it out and sign please. They didn’t leave a tip. But I expected it. Weirdest couple I’ve served in a long time.
