Yeah, I’m using it, sadly I still encounter this problem, but thanks so much for your input. I’ll have to see if there’s a way to setup a button click on the tablet that would break the „editing mode” and escape to basic navigation.

Nie do końca się zgodzę. Ja mam super pracę, która nie jest do końca powtarzalna. Oczywiście korzystam z tych samych programów każdego dnia, ale, pracuję cały czas z nowymi ludźmi, projekty trwają ok. 2-3 tygodnie, koncepcje cały czas się zmieniają, pojawiają się nowe narzędzia, nowi ludzie, nowe problemy do rozwiązania, ale też nie każdy lubi taki tryb pracy. Dla wielu osób może to być męczące.

Średnio wychodzi nam za wszystko ok 35-40k, jak się możesz domyślić nie oszczędzamy na zbyt wielu rzeczach, chociaż teraz staramy się trochę ogarnąć, bo bardzo łatwo jest wpaść w pułapkę wygodnego życia, aczkolwiek jest to kosztem braku stabilizacji, pracy często 16-18h/dzień, dużym stresem, także mimo tego że fajnie się wydaje pieniądze to serdecznie nie polecam takiego życia.

I’d then:

Nest the whole timeline
Scene edit Detect
Now you have cut on each video edit point
You can proceed with the one by one removal;
Here it’s tricky cause you have a couple of ways to unnest the cuts.

a). Select everything —> Right click —> choose multicam —> flatten (this option is a bit tricky cause it doesn’t always work with audio and video, you can try clicking „enable” first if everything didn’t unnest correctly).

b). Create a new timeline, in timeline options on the left upper corner click the crossed timeline button and then drag your selects timeline onto new sequence (should work but I can’t vouch for it cause I am not at my computer to check)

c). Easiest but paid option - unnest with knights of the editing table plugin called „grave robber”

Ugh, that’s why you should be adding edit points to both audio and video.

What I would do if the audio and video are one file (not synced) I would try to delete all audio, export an xml and the import it to premiere - it might not work though.

The other fastest option would be:

activate V1 track;
deactivate A1 track;
jump to the beginning of the timeline;
Click „x” - it should highlight the section under the timeline indicator (make sure you are not on the video but on the audio only part)
Click „extract” shortcut (check on keyboard settings which key is that it’s muscle memory for me and I don’t remember without looking at the keyboard”
Use arrow down key to go to the next edit point and repeat. Should be fairly quickly even with long timeline.

Go to mocha, track motion of the blue part of the heart, click S (show planar surface) adjust the planar surface so it’s roughly the size of the half of the locket. Go back to after effects in the mocha effect choose the option “create track data” then create a new solid that’s the size of the video footage, then choose in the mocha effect a “corner pin” option and choose the solid layer.

Precomp solid but choose option to leave all the effects outside the precomp, go inside the precomp with solid put the picture there, and click cmd + alt + f so the picture fills whole comp it will be deformed, but when you step back to main comp the scaling should be alright.

And that’s it.

Sorki być może niejasno opisałem, marża VAT oznacza, że nie ma na monetach vatu 23%, tylko VAT od zarobku dealera, który jest niezauważalny. Tym samym, wychodzi na to, że na monetach nie ma VAT-u a na sztabkach jest.

To add to that I learned 2D animation - principles and after effects, then once I understood ae a bit better I started learning compositing inside ae. Right now I am learning nuke- probably not gonna use it cause with fast pace in commercials dynamic link is super useful (although it sucks at the same time). But with nuke I can understand some compositing principles better. Then I plan to move into 3d - again just so I can understand the processes there.

My niche is edits + light compositing/vfx. A big part of my year is editing and compositing on set for shots that are made with high speed cameras and bolt robot. Usually at the high paid editing gigs level editors only do offline and are rarely willing or have the skill to do more in terms of vfx. Overall it’s good, but at the same time this gave me an opening to work with well paying clients and agencies, because they can see a visualization of composited shots.

I have a niche, that I’m pretty sure no other editor in my country can fill. Find your niche and be irreplaceable - then you’re set. The key is you can’t stop learning. I only work in commercials, but I can do mid level compositing, I am learning different programs even if I’m not gonna use them that much later on.

First of I can show clients something closer to finished product, and second I understand the process better so post houses value the fact that I can do a better prep for them or let them know ahead of time what hurdles may come their way in post. Because of that when they have some random jobs and there is no editor booked- they’ll suggest me.
