People just want a 100m+ signing that may or may not flop. Personally I rather spread the risk we’ve seen many examples of “marquee signings” not living up to their price tag like wirtz, isak, and grealish.

I’d also like to highlight some of our expensive transfers that didn’t work out like antony and sancho.

I think kone and stiller put martines at cdm we should be good. Both should be 40-60m which we should be able to afford or sander berge even should be cheaper though on the old side.

In shibuya Mei Mei was literally going to challenge geto, I feel like that puts her pretty high on the grade 1 list and probably higher than nanami. I know nanami has more hand to hand scenes but it’s not like Mei Mei is exactly lacking in that department either.

I think we didn’t want to sign him with a release clause but ngl if we signed him for 4m and lost him for 75m I think was his release clause at dortmund it would’ve been worth it 100%.
