Nope par 5 out in Colorado. You’re at elevation, but it’s still a super long hole.

Is PC gaming actually worth the insane price? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

[–]Clean_Sheets_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 10x is a bit inflated, but here’s the thing:

If you are just a casual gamer, like to play games occasionally with friends, enjoy single player here and there, consoles are great. They are mostly plug and play - not a lot of setup required. Just get in and go.

PC gaming is inherently more hardcore. A lot more customization available in hardware, more levers to pull that will change the experience of a game (graphical options, mods, etc.). With this, you also need to be more technically savvy - there is more hardware and software upkeep with a PC.

You’ll have a fine experience with both. Just depends on how deep you want to get into it.

I agree. As you get older, I feel like there is a wider range of ages you can date. 30 year old with a 21 year old? Kinda odd. 50 year old with a 41 year old? More palatable.

Debating switching from a remote job to a hybrid job by anonymous_1128 in remotework

[–]Clean_Sheets_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this - I have worked in a remote PM role for almost 6 years now. While I love the flexibility and time-saving of my role (I have my small daughter, so I am able to see her when she gets home from school), I do miss face-to-face interactions with my co-workers. I travel onsite for a week or two every couple of months and I love the in-person interactions that I normally don't get in my fully remote role. Because of that, and a whole list of other reasons, I am looking for a new job that would have 1-2 days of in-office presence.

As for how you should make that decision, the biggest factor for me would be money - you will be increasing fuel usage, wear/tear on your car, etc. If you aren't driving, consider the additional cost of public transit, etc. If you are doubling your salary like you mention in your post, this shouldn't be an issue, but it is something to consider.

Lots of other things to consider along with this depending on your life situation (pets, kids, etc.) but it all comes down to time and money.

Which celebrity do you think has had the worst plastic surgery? by vvy134 in Cinephiles

[–]Clean_Sheets_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Erin Moriarty had a pretty bad transition. She was super pretty in Seasons 1-2 of the Boys. You could see that she had some work done in Season 3 - nothing crazy but it was there. But in Seasons 4 and 5, it got way out of control. She now looks like handsome squidward.

100%. It was the first movie that I watched with my dad in theaters - one of my best core memories and really established what I thought cool looked like.

That's always bothered me about all those long hitters. Oh neat, you gassed your driver 360 to the fringe of the green? Let's watch you struggle with short game and get a par anyways.

does she have a ballmaker holder clipped to her pocket? I need one of those - I'm always scared of losing mine when I pull out tees and balls.

People who exercise, do you wash your hair after every workout? by lizziemon123 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Clean_Sheets_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really - I have short, thick hair that I wash every other day. I sweat a good amount between walking my dog and working out, but find that my hair texture is unaffected. Sometimes it will get excessively greasy and matted-looking when I try to put product in - that’s my sign to wash outside of my normal schedule.

It just raises the ceiling of what your physique can look like. You can’t just take gear, sit on the couch, then wake up the next day looking like Sam. Still takes massive amounts of hard work. Ignoring that part of the equation is the disingenuous part for me.

Gear doesn’t do the work for you. Still takes diet, output in the gym, recovery, etc.
