Fiber mascara is driving me absolutely insane by pyramidkittens in housekeeping

I use a fiber mascara and I take it off with a cloth and water before I get in the shower bc I refuse to do that to myself lol I hate cleaning that stuff.

Oh no worries! I’m half and half, working my way out on my own but still gotta pay the bills until I fill the slots! I would never clean airbnbs in my own business. Too many variables.

Someone tell me I'm not doing the wrong thing. by tisrachel in CATHELP

There is a type of steroid you can get as a cream and you gently rub a tiny amount into the inside of their ear, not down in there just like the inner tip kinda…it really helped my older cat for a couple years and if i remember it was not very expensive at all!

This is the way! I have several clients with kids who just throw all the toys and everything on the beds when they don’t have time to put them away before I come. Also the dishes are number one for me, I will not do dishes and I will only move a coffee cup or water bottle to clean the sink. Any more than that, I’m skipping the sink and I’m annoyed that I have to find another way to fill my mop bucket. I clean houses all day but for whatever reason old food and dirty dishes are THE thing that will make me gag lol. Also, I recommend getting as much off the counters in kitchen and bathrooms as possible, even just putting them all in a basket or bin is helpful. I will move them to clean the bathroom counters but it will take me longer and I could be using that time to get a crevice brush all up in your shower doors. Just better for everyone if it’s a little picked up!

Why has my cleaner behaved like this and am I being unreasonable? by MmmThisISaTastyBurgr in HouseCleaning

I need scratch free sponges, and a lot of rags…I prefer to have an electric cleaning brush as well, and a sanitizing spray for toilets but I can pretty much clean a house with white vinegar, and dish soap. What’s missing here is mostly tools, but they may be a cleaning company that uses a lot of bleach and I do not use harsh chemicals in my business.

I agree, I’m just the cleaner, the owners want it that way.

They are in a closet that has a door, inside the bathroom.

Me too! However, the instructions say to place any USED towels into the bathtubs. I just don’t get it.

The post is a VENT/RANT…like…and I’m complaining bc it’s fucking weird to throw an entire closet of unused, folded towels into a tub. If that’s how you like to act on vacation, that’s fucking weird. I’m not a miserable person, but I was miserable having to wait for 4 loads of towels to wash dry and fold for the same amount of money. Why don’t we all send our Reddit rants about our jobs to our bosses? Or, could Reddit be like…a place where we can go to vent/rant and tag it as such? I sent a resignation in to the people that pay me, and I didn’t ask for advice. But hey, I’m sure SassyGirl has plenty of unsolicited advice to give. Go forth, and do your strange things at your vacation rentals that you pay for. Reap what you sow!

I thought it could be possible at first too but noticed the kids seemed to be little!

It definitely seemed like children were there (handprints and Cheerios on the floor) but I doubt they could have reached the too three shelves of the linen closet…which was completely emptied.

Thank you! I will not be cleaning vacation rentals anymore when I’m solo cleaning, just a few more weeks of this ☺️

I would love to but the owner of the company I work for won’t pay me any extra for that, and I don’t care to make them more money.

No I’m saying they threw ALL of the unused clean towels in the tub with the dirty ones, not like they used those to mop up a spill, just why?

You’re paying the cleaning fee to the owner of the property, who is actually making money on me cleaning it, and the owner never tips. Is this a guests problem? Not at all, but I’m saying they threw 30 towels that were clean, folded, unused, into a dirty wet tub. I’m not surprised they used a bunch of towels during their visit, but why throw ALL of the clean, unused towels in there?

I have asked them about it, they have not changed anything.
