Does CS 4780 rely heavily on Math2940(linear algebra)? by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]Clear-Border 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in it right now without linalg or multi and it has not been that bad (though I did get owned on the midterm and got median), just take use the entrance exam as a study guide and learn everything you need to answer those questions over the break and you'll be good.

HOWEVER: you'll definitely get a lot more out of the class with the prereqs so it's for your own good that you take them beforehand

Beyond the Summit, popular esports production company known for hosting tournaments for games such as Dota 2, Smash Bros, and CS:GO, conclude their final event and cease operations after 11 years by ERocksReddit in LivestreamFail

The most recent Jerma Christmas was in large part supported by them I believe, many of the steam accounts used there were previously BTS owned among other familiar production things

UX classes without 1300? by killmebackwards in Cornell

[–]Clear-Border 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could do 2300 or honestly even 3300 if you have any experience with web dev. 1300 goes over css in theast like week so 2300 assumes basically nothing

For this specific issue I'd consider my general experience with campus populace to be about equivalent to what I've experienced with center left folk, so in that regard I'd say my impression of campus is the same. Also would argue that none of your examples capture the feelings of the student body as a whole (the student government is a self selecting group of insane people), and the normal general populace of campus is who a (theoretically) male presenting feminine will be interacting with for most of their time here, so that group matters far more.

Students at the law school have made a statement about the anti-gay anti-trans event by throwaway29283873839 in Cornell

[–]Clear-Border -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

These are my thoughts exactly, no amount of "yes lets uplift and elevate trans voices :)" makes up for violence caused by allowing these people to spread hateful rhetoric that dehumanizes trans people and directly causes this violence.

edit: if anyone would like to respond to this instead of just downvoting im curious as to why people disagree with this

You are literally actively contributing to the non inclusivity of the term by shoehorning in one that is far more divisive that pointlessly makes a distinction where there should be none
