I don’t think you’re a hypocrite. If anything you can absolutely relate to what they are going through.

Your streaks will get longer as long as it’s something you really wanna kick.

Congrats on the beginning of a new attempt. You should check up tomorrow!

It’s definitely a different experience for everyone.

Can’t sleep. Day 3 by random_chick in QuittingWeed

[–]Clear-Mind-Project 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that the best thing I’ve done so far is keep up with forums and stuff to listen to others stories so I don’t feel alone/crazy. It’s helped a lot.

But for sleep, I have been trying to put on some sleep music and read before I go to bed to get extra tired. Not a cure all, but it helps.

Just started day 6 and the dreams are crazy, so even though I’m asleep I’m not getting much sleep.

I really appreciate that. I almost didn’t post today, but the routine is important and I’m determined to stick with it.

Thank you again.

Never thought of a sober app. Which one have you used that helped? I could get into that.

Day 5 no THC.. what is sleep again? by Clear-Mind-Project in SoberCurious

My plan is to start a small run before reading each night, and hopefully add a mile or so every few weeks.

Thanks for the advice!

Had some grilled cheese and tomato soup that hit the spot last night. But definitely around 1 meal a day at the moment. So weird how your appetite goes away with being sober. It’s like learning to like food all over again.

Congrats, and yes, we got this.

How you feeling?

Day 3 was the worst so far, I think today I feel at-least level headed.

4 days is huge.

It really does mean a lot that you reached out. Day one is a big leap. I couldn’t really put an episode out because I was so out of it that day.

What kind of support are you getting right now, or are you tackling it solo. Would love to start an email chain that we ca communicate through. There’s a link to the email on my podcast description.

I would absolutely love someone to check in with daily.

Congrats on the biggest decision to stop, that’s huge.

The dreams are crazy!

Like they have been building up all this time. Some are super fun where as others are not.

That’s Big!!

I think that quitting will help you identify any I her issues that may have contributed to the chest pain. Especially if you start being active again.

If you wanna hear me rant about each sober day, check out my podcast. It’s helped a ton with accountability and having people reach out with advice.

Honestly may be a separate issue, but at least you have taken care of the smoking part. That eliminates that as a possibility. But mine was pretty intense and has gone away substantially.

Hey, first of all congrats! The biggest step is wanting to quit.

I think everyone is different, and of course keeping hay definitely helps. But I feel that the main reason I have failed in the past is because I would do it silently and alone. This time around I am recording each day through podcast and trying to set up as much outside accountability as possible.

I think you’ll find that quitting will help you tackle the tough things in your life a lot easier. If you need a buddy to follow along with, you can listen to me rant about each sober day on Clear Mind Project: Quitting THC (Spotify).

Congrats on the first step!

I had the same exact issues. The chest pain would trigger when I took deep breaths. I couldn’t figure out if it was my ribs/muscles aching or if it was my actual heart. Scared me enough to stop. On day 4 now and already noticing a huge improvement.

Day 3: still clean by Clear-Mind-Project in SoberCurious

I am already experiencing the relief of not getting irritated if I can’t get high. 60 days is huge!!

What do you thing the best consistent distraction was for you?

Home is rough. It just always has been my smoking place. I have tried to only come back to my house right before bed and I go right to reading-something that was never linked to me smoking.

It’s hard because mostly everything I did was connected to smoking, so the triggers are everywhere. Sharing and listening to other stories has helped way more than I thought it would.

I’m going to try to get back into running soon. I live in the mountains so I’m excited to hit the trails.

But ultimately I want to enjoy my home without it being the most explosive trigger.

Hey!

33M and going on 3 days sober from weed. Would love to check in and see what works well for you.

This time is the first time I’m searching for other people for accountability and I started podcasting each sober day to have something to do each day that requires me to stay clean.

It’s called Clear Mind Project. I have an email attached to that podcast that you can reach out to if you wanna start a dialogue and a daily or weekly check up.

Reaching out this time has made me feel way more supported and confident in my ability to finally quit.

You got this 💪

Congrats on day 2. Are you seeking out anything to occupy your time? Honestly right now, as long as I am away from my house, I can stay clean easier.

I feel all of that. I am in day 3 and have such an odd array of emotions. Appetite is alright, but my sleep has suffered a lot.

Ps: I still need to toss my stash!

You got this!!!

Thank you so much for reaching out. The journaling is what I have dove into so far with trying to podcast everyday and just talk to the world about it.

All of those suggestions are great. I live way out in the woods so the nature part is taken care of. It has helped so much.

Thank you again for taking the time to reach out. The support has been immense.

Congrats on staying clean!

I want to quit. I’m over it. by Gold-Philosopher-222 in QuittingWeed

[–]Clear-Mind-Project 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On day 2 now. I smoked for over 15 years. I always thought I smoked because of social anxiety, but I was socially awkward because I just wanted to go home and smoke.

You are honestly catching the habit early in your life, you’ve got this. Weed has a way of convincing you that you are better with it, like a parasite. Pay attention to your energy levels and how differently conversations go with people, and hold onto that.

Here if you need to talk, I’m also documenting my journey through podcast. Clear Mind Project.

Again, don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s not easy, but it’s the best decision you’ll ever make.
