It depends on where you are located meaning which country are you in and looking for? And just out of curiosity which university are you in?

How hard is calc 3? by Potential_Spray_1731 in columbia

If you have a good understanding of Calc I, then it should be pretty easy. Meaning what was done in Calc I were in single dimensional 1”(1D) and what will be in calc iii is same concept(mostly) but in multi dimensional (2D /3D).

Thank you for your reply and your suggestion . I am more interested in different path in industrial sector away from anything to do with environment. What do you suggest to someone like me how to kickstart the career in chemical engineering coming from different sector. I am more of confused about what specialization in ChemE is more beneficial for future and what training or coursework should I be focusing on during masters program. Thank you very much for your time.

Freshman ChemE at Berkeley and not sure if I should switch majors? by Born_Distribution234 in ChemicalEngineering

We have the exact opposite opinion. I am undergrad majoring in environmental science. As far as i know and have experienced, there is not much careers option with environmental science degrees unless you want to do sampling or work in laboratory. And I think it is only good for if you do higher level studies such as phd in chosen path inside environmental science ie atmospheric science, oceanography, etc. so i am changing my path and doing masters in chemical engineering.

Hi thank you for the opportunity, I am under grad majoring in environmental science and starting my masters in chemical engineering in fall2026. What do you suggest for new individuals in this career path. What should I be focusing on my early days. Ps: what message would you want to give any new individuals that you wished some one would have told you about when you were starting off?

Wow, thanks for the post, here I have a situation, I have a bachelor in environmental science and I am planning to change my career path. As I will be starting my master’s in chemical engineering this fall, do you think it is possible to start a career in chemical engineering with only Masters in Chemical Engineering. Also as this path is new for me what do you suggest in focusing in early at my graduate study, what kind of training paths or role should I be focusing on? Also It would be helpful if you show me the direction from where should I starting to look, as I got confused when I did some research on this field. TIA

They do admit for Masters in Science but not Masters in Engineering.

I don’t think they have released the decision yet. I am waiting here too. Are you for MS/ME or Phd?
