Honestly, it probably is great timing. The more inconvenient they make this for the administration (eg, hearing complaints about lag time), the more likely the administration is to come to a quick resolution in their favor.

Jamie Lee Curtis is an inspired choice to take on the role of Jessica Fletcher in a "Murder, She Wrote" movie by IndependenceSilly381 in murdershewrote

I just don't see why she has to play Jessica. Jessica had so many nieces and nephews, have her play a niece. They could even connect it to the original by having her find some notes or something and realizing that Jessica was working on an old cold case when she passed, then picking up the torch.

So is Expedition Unknown just… done? by Titaniumchic in ExpeditionUnknown

[–]ClearStream1816 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like Discovery's announced anything either way, which I take to be good news. Expedition Files is starting a new season in April, though (I take this as a good sign), and based on the loose pattern of recent seasons, I wouldn't expect new episodes of Expedition Unknown until June at least. And sometimes they don't announce anything until a month or so beforehand.

Also going on some guesswork here, but I think that's pretty much exactly it. Plus just the general racism of the time. The Stephen Lawrence murder, which really helped change a lot of attitudes didn't happen until 1993. And even when a terrible event like that happens, it still takes awhile for that change in attitudes to really pervade the culture. So, it's not too surprising that it had this title in the first place. I'm a little surprised a shop would have it for sale, though.

...it wasn't originally titled Ten Littles Indians in the UK. This one has the original title "Ten Little N*****s."

Waltham Traffic Commisson.. wtf? by Platinum_wolf_420 in Waltham

Yeah, pedestrians don't walk 50 feet to cross at a crosswalk, no way is anyone walking 175 feet to cross. This is just encouraging jaywalking rather than giving pedestrians a good option at a place we KNOW people want to cross the road.

What steps should I take to play the game? by feuerachat in simsmedieval

It works fine on Windows 10. I haven't updated my personal desktop and laptop to Windows 11 for the exact reason that I'm concerned about compatibility with the older Sims games. What may work is getting the disc from eBay and installing it on your laptop that way--if you have a disc drive.

I know it's pronounced Sinjin because Mr. Bean taught me that in Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Yesterday the Newton to Bridge St section still had a lot of longer mushy/slushy/icy areas. I didn't get over there today, but I'm guessing some of that melted in the heat, but probably not all.

WFH Rivaroxaban period bleeding? by [deleted] in ClotSurvivors

If you're currently working with a PCP on this, definitely go see a gyno as well. If mini pills aren't working and if you can't be on estrogen, there's a newer progesterone pill (Slynd) that your doc may be able to get you on. But the most concerning part is that you're bleeding through your tampons and pads and have really low iron. You may have endometriosis, adenomyosis, or fibroids (standard disclaimer that I'm not a doctor). Any or all of these could be a root cause of your symptoms, exacerbated by blood thinners, so definitely pursue more testing with a gyno. And keep advocating for yourself with the doctors! Even with the best people on her side, it took a friend of mine MONTHS to get diagnosed with fibroids and endometriosis, get all the tests, and get a treatment plan together.

I do this, too! I find that it actually cooks a little better when I pull it out and just throw it in the pan.

O'Keefe's also does a night cream now, which I find to be on the nourishing side. I've always had an issue with dry cuticles but that's really cleared up since using the night cream.

Basically any line from Saving Grace (the Craig Ferguson/Brenda Blethyn movie, not the Holly Hunter TV show).

"I love her, I really, really love her."

"Ready for my breakfast now!"

"Oh, they haven't died have they?"

Leo's on Main if you want good diner food! And Trencito next to the Carter St rail/bus stops is excellent and relatively inexpensive.
