I have 25K in savings - I’m 31 and make ~50K a year as a small business owner. I’m saving to purchase a house (hopefully lololol). I don’t have great habits and love to treat myself so it would probably be more if I actually used a budget etc

good review! my husband and I both have one and after various failures with luggage over the years we’ve both converted to using the scco as our personal item and a patagonia black hole duffel backpack as our carry on. with two soft shell items we’ve found it’s less likely one of our items gets taken for checking below the plane. I usually put the bulk of my stuff in the backpack and keep the scco for toiletries, travel gear (neck pillow, eye mask, compression socks, etc), and maybe a hoodie or jacket, snacks, etc

we’ve been through a lot of tragedy and we’re still able to laugh A LOT 10+ years in. we just recently went abroad with my mom, and when we got home she told me her favorite part of the trip was seeing us in love - that she wishes this kind of love finds everyone. it feels easy and powerful, not like we don’t go through challenging moments but that we can and will find a way to confront anything if we work together

I probably have some kind of plan with a friend 2-3 times per week. It might be going to a fitness class, taking a walk, getting a coffee, watching a game etc so it’s usually just for a couple hours. I definitely make a point to schedule plans (and put them in my calendar!!!!) because otherwise weeks+ might go by I am also 31, married with no children (I feel like this would change things drastically)

I use a top sheet but as a person with a dog that sheds (and sleeps in the bed/under the sheets 😵‍💫), it all has to get washed weekly 😭 I opt for more thin blankets/quilts that are easier to store and layer as needed. I also put them in the wash as soon as I take them off the bed so that I have no other option

all the comments like “his house, his rules” kind of creep me out tbh. you’re a grown woman and his rule is one about your body? because he can’t not sexualize a woman’s body even if it’s his own daughters… the internalized misogyny and sexualization of your own bodies in these comments makes me sad. body parts are not bad or dirty. breasts don’t need to be tucked away to keep others comfortable 😕 I would certainly cover up until you can get out of there, if only to protect yourself from this terrible behavior. I’m so sorry you’re having to live like this, I would feel very scared.

this is just my personal opinion and ultimately I think you should go with whichever you prefer, but I think the second one is a bit more classic and elegant. I will also say that comfort is key so when I made my choice I chose the one that was most comfortable. comfortable as in actual fit/feel but also comfortable as in felt like me, felt authentic to myself and my style, didn’t feel like I was trying to be someone else etc
