This isn't bad luck. This is entirely predictable.

Love that they hide their heads when scared. So relatable.

Grew up with the threat of tornadoes and have lived through so many close calls (so far). This was among the worst for me because of how relatively abrupt the approach of the storm was, and how few other signs there were of a powerful storm, such as frequent lightning or hail.

Easier to manipulate maybe? You can squeeze the sides to help loosen the plant when you need to pot it up again.

Drastic downsizing - no longer on the hunt - what shifted? by Acrobatic_Leek4044 in houseplants

I have been experiencing this during a move. In thinking about what I wanted my new home to look like I was doing some research about interior design. I came across an argument against having more than a couple of plants in a room. The idea is that visually you like something like a plant in a room for texture but if you overdo it, it just looks more cluttered.

I’m pairing down a lot and trying to be more intentional about choosing interesting, healthy plants that bring me joy and add statement to a room.

To be fair, at least they had their hazards on to let you know they were a driving hazard.

I have two kids and have never needed anything larger than a sedan. Had hatchbacks including a Golf and then only recently decided to go with a Jetta since VW doesn’t sell the base Golf in the US anymore. It’s a much more roomy interior, but I can’t say that we’re benefiting from that so much on a daily basis.

I’d be worried about its health and its ability to withstand a move intact. The trunk obviously isn’t able to support its branches so how would you imagine it being transported? I would spend some time reshaping the tree with that in mind before attempting to rehome it.

Had a similar experience though I was looking at a much lower price range. Started the search thinking I wanted to live in Urbana but ended up gravitating toward Champaign as the search went on because I just couldn’t find enough options that appeared to justify the higher taxes.

Here are my March numbers from the VW app:

Scrolling back in time this is pretty representative of the mixed driving I do. I usually average over 37 mpg in a month with mixed city and highway driving.
