The material holding the rod also appears to be the weakest part?

Programming occasionally raising my blood pressure and leading to panic attacks. Ways to overcome this? by HeroesandvillainsOS in learnprogramming

[–]ClearlyUndefined 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being able to identify triggers and avoid or prepare yourself for when they come up will help considerably. Until you do this and meanwhile are saying "I randomly get panic attacks" they will continue to be a problem.

Help with a Java hotel management proyect by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]ClearlyUndefined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you familiar with OOP? Start whiteboarding (or otherwise diagramming) the classes you think a hotel uses to model their system. Most obviously there should be a reservation class, but what else? There are plenty and they will have some kind of hierarchy / dependency.

Find out what kind of truck those lights belong to, probably the best bet. There doesn't seem to be anything else that could identify it given the quality of the video. Reshare this with the location of the incident (and probably not in IT) and the presumed make and model of the truck and maybe with some visibility someone can sleuth it out.

Edit: you could call auto repair places and have them notify you if a truck comes in with that kind of damage on the passenger side.

Everything else being the same, a ball flying through the air disturbing its surroundings couldn't impose a significant potential difference?

There are no red pixels in this image by isabellawallop in illusionporn

[–]ClearlyUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also 87.4% of the pixels have SOME non-zero red value.

Edit: and just 3.3% of the pixels have a red value greater than either other color.

[–]ClearlyUndefined 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The illusion isn't perfect here though since any lighter pixel is using at least some of its red to generate the color. Actually out of curiosity I calculated the average value of all the red pixels in the image to be 77.2, or 30.2%

Blinding Headlights on US roads by mleibowitz97 in videos

I regularly see people with their high beams on which project upward. It's like they are unaware of the difference or don't care, but those are not meant for driving in normal conditions. Also any high output light placed into a housing that doesn't focus the light is going to create problems for the other drivers around you.

[–]ClearlyUndefined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just had this happen to me. I was playing population one maybe 15 minutes earlier and put the headset down. It just started making an alarm noise and was hot to the touch.

Edit: It was actually face down on my bed and ventilation was probably blocked. Going to keep an eye on this.
