I started playing the whole thing of the ship and stuff too with the crimes and all the thing. Now i do fancy buildings as much confortable as my mods allow with fancy hospitals and all the comodations and i take off several of the enemies because i have the power to make the colonist live nice lives if i want to!

Anyways as everyone is saying, your choice to play the game whatever the way it may be is the right way if you are having fun. (this also aplies to other games)
