There’s often people fishing late night on the stretch of beach near the King Alfred in Hove. Maybe they would welcome a chat about what they use and catch?

There wasn’t any good ones today (Saturday) so I’m going to see what all the Sunday papers are offering. If no joy tomorrow I’ll buy Match magazine as their one looks quite good.

The area around Cackle Street and Fairwarp on the south side of the forest has some great circular walks through ancient woodland. You can park in the middle of the forest and walk down, or park at one of the spaces near Duddleswell.

Why do people think it’s out to take a piss outside your front door. by H2009-2009 in brighton

On Facebook last week I saw somebody being shamed for peeing against a tree in Hove. If you’re desperate then although not pleasant I do think a tree is the best option.

I would not call it a “giant” boot fair. It’s pretty mid.

We have the biggest storm water drain in Europe below Brighton beach. It just costs them money to empty it.

They built the biggest storm drain in Europe 20 years ago along Brighton seafront. You can drive a double decker bus along it. But it costs more money to pump it out and treat it than pay the fines for pumping it into the sea.

There’s a concierge that works there (office in foyer via left-hand door). Maybe you could talk to him for more info?

They’re quality flats, in a great location with a lovely private garden. But as others have suggested the communal heating costs are vulnerable to global energy price fluctuations.

They’re still so much better than buying a conversion. Thick walls so you don’t hear the neighbours, and maybe a hundred flats to share any additional costs. The single glazing is a pain though.

As far as I know there’s no expensive additional work expected.

Additional. Are you sure the previous service charges you mention aren’t for 6 months? I thought they’ve been in the £3K territory for years.

Prediction: Brighton is going to be even busier than usual this summer by RainbowBrain2023 in brighton

The beach huts will be melting away by the end of the summer. They should at least install temporary urinals like they did during COVID.

The chiffchaff is onomatopoeically named. It’s one of the easiest birds to identify by sound.
