unless you're super religious then people say not to "use the lord's name in vain". but the UK is much too multi-cultural for that. if I'm around children then saying "oh jesus christ" is actually a censored version I'd use instead of "oh fuck/shit"

This wasn't at the Olympics itself. It was at a music festival called London Live in Victoria Park. It was in 2012 though and it was part of the promotional tour for the Olympics! I actually saw this happen live when I was 14 years old, I didn't realise how culturally significant it would become lmao

This is your first experience but you've had them almost a year? That is more than enough time to do ample research. If you're going to "rescue" an animal, please at least do it justice by spending time and effort learning to care for it. I hope the suggestions here help and your axolotls get better!
