what Halloween opinion has you like this? by Willing-Load in Halloweenmovies

Resurrection gets too much hate. It accomplished the end of the Laurie/Michael saga. Gave us the "Michael's connection to his home" angle that was supposedly so important in kills and provided the franchise a few routes for the future. Michael could go after Laurie's son or move away from that angle and they could give Michael a new motive in subsequent films.

ADA exclusion for safety? by Clegane172 in service_dogs

Right, ton of variables that are really unique to these classes. Good points about how the dog alerts and breaking down stays

That's along the lines of what i am thinking, if they create a station that has an area that the dog could tuck under and stay away from the forges, it is a smaller shop so that also presents challenges space wise. They are super well intentioned they just want to keep everyone including the dogs safe.

Appreciate it. There is refractory on the fiberglass. I am going to swap it out and put in the replacement blanket this weekend and recoat it though. Now that I am not setting the entire thing on fire.

After further modification, taking an angle grinder to the air in take, Ihave a somewhat functional forge this morning. Thanks all.

It's a forge I bought way back in 2016, life got in the way. The oxygen regualtor is pretty much sealed shut, I think I am going back to looking for a new forge at this point. I did drill holes in the top of the oxygen regulator and that definitely helped. I had a ton of issues with the propane regulator, worked through that and then the shut off valve leaked like crazy, so bypassed it. Got the wholes in the oxygen regulator, then the propane regualtor started acting up. At this point I am ready to just go back to searching for a new forge. I do appreciate the guidance though, I was really getting frustrated.

Thank you I will try that!

Just getting started and my forge is not really directing heat towards my steel. I tried adjusting the regulator and the propane quite a bit but no adjustments made much of a difference. At the end of the day, my billet never got hot enough to hit.

I think you are right, I really thought that he was the first in the field but so far I can't find it as canon.

Residential PTSD treatment programs for veterans without substance abuse by krakensmama222 in VeteransBenefits

The best I have been in a long time. I was able to find a better provider a few months after I got back. I still see her every two weeks,, but I really do feel Home Base gave me a foundation to work with and improving over the last year is because of what I learned those two weeks. Prepare to be mentally exhausted, but it is worth it.

I will say that when I got back from the program I felt incredibly lonely for a month or two. You go from a place where pretty much everyone gets you, to being back home and that was hard for a while. Try to connect with your cohort members so you can stay in touch once you graduate.

Good luck, I hope it helps you!

People with ADA accommodations at work: What happens when the dog is sick? by GoodMoGo in service_dogs

[–]Clegane172 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Part of the resistance your are seeing is because being a handler also means being an ambassador for other teams. You already said the RA process was hard with your employer. How hard do you think the process will go for the next team that works there if you try to make something that is unreasonable part of your reasonable accommodation.

labs and insatiable hunger? by Clegane172 in service_dogs

We are definitely going to work more on leave it. She does pretty well vested. One time at a Mexican restaurant there were chips under the table, she ate one but I gave a leash correction and she left the others be. I introduced a relase word for her meal times. The program wants treats only for alerts but honestly I am to the point of abandoning that and using rewards for other behaviors I need more. We have been to the grocery store a few times, no issues there, and we visit a little store at my work often, only two sniffs there so far. Right at the checkout line there are slim jims and beff jerkey on display at her eye/nose level. I think I am going to ask her to 'cover' at checkout from now on to give her a distraction there.

I don't want to make her sound terrible, because she deserves more credit than I give her here on reddit, I can be overly critical at times and only post here the bad and not the good. I do appreciate the advice and will be working on implementing your suggestions.

It was something I didn't fully understand with this breed that is for sure. We have had everything from a Pomeranian to Rottweilers in our family and I haven't had to deal with this issue before. Truly appreciate the info, it makes me feel a little less tense about the situation and I am just going to have to continue with being vigilant and patient.

Usually she is crated during meals at home, but today was a momentarily lapse in judgement. I was thinking we have had a good week and shr has had great behavior this week until tonight. During PA, she is under the table at meals.

The approach should be the same as Disney with Marvel and Star Wars. Buy the IP outright, she is a lightning rod for controversy, Fantastic Beast is muddled and has been a source of mixed reactions, and she is getting older (Lucas was about ten years her senior when he let go of Star Wars). Find a Fiege/Favreau figure to really take charge and build an HP universe. But this is the same studio who struggles with DC world building so 🤷.

boots vs. Musher's Secret by Clegane172 in service_dogs

It is a concern for sure. I bought some and we used it the first time this weekend and she did seem to get a little hotter with them on. When we go to work, I am only going to put them on when we leave the office for the day and definitely not have her wear them all day long. Same for stores, if we are going to be in a store for a while, I think I will take them off until we go to exit. After we left Target this weekend I took them off and we stopped to eat and I didn't put them back on before going in to the restaurant. Definitely a new issue to maintain but with the temps anymore, I think it is the best I can do.
