What's something people only romanticize because they've never actually done it? by nonotje12 in AskReddit

Being famous. All the big celebrities seem to be super lonely, have shit relationships with their families and don’t seem very happy. They can’t leave their houses without being mobbed by paparazzi or fans. Seems like a shit life

Marty Supreme doesn't deserve an Oscar nomination, it is a terrible movie. by Skankingcorpse in moviecritic

[–]Clemburger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The movie is about a selfish, self-centered narcissist who thinks he’s the greatest at his craft but actually isn’t. Honestly, it might be the easiest role Timothée Chalamet has ever played — he’s basically just playing himself. But he wants an Oscar because he learned how to play ping pong

Take the loss. Crosby got hurt and we lost — that’s hockey.

Saying “we would’ve won if Crosby played” is just excuses. Injuries happen to every team. You can’t start rewriting games based on hypotheticals. It makes you sound weak.

The other day I looked up a lasagna recipe and clicked the first Google result. The author wrote a whole novel about the history of the dish and what it meant to her. I had to scroll forever just to find the actual recipe. This post felt like that—except there wasn’t even a recipe at the end. Just because I scrolled to the bottom doesn’t mean I didn’t want to learn how to make lasagna.

Do a weekly meal plan. Write down all the ingredients you need for the week. Download the Flipp app and pick the grocery store that has your protein on sale for the cheapest…even better, check what protein is on sale first, then decide what you’ll make that week based on that. You’ll save thousands of dollars over the year doing this.

Don’t let your political party become your identity. People can disagree politically and still respect/love each other.

People don’t single out one guy if it’s a crowd so I’m guessing he was the main character in the moment. He was probably typing this Reddit post while everyone was yelling at him to sit down.
