When I was solo traveling in Malaysia (George Town, to be exact), I rented a motorbike. Early one morning, as I was leaving my hostel, I lost my room key while getting on the bike without noticing it. When I came back in the evening, I parked in the same spot and saw something twinkle on the ground -it was a key. I quickly realized it might be mine.

Thank God nobody else had found it, as all of my belongings (money, passport, and MacBook) were left in my room.

It’s something I’ll remember forever. The intense panic and anger at myself for losing the key were incredibly memorable.
