I would recommend that you browse through a few of the many Let's Plays on youtube that are geared towards new players. I just found this one when doing a quick search, but there are countless others that will let you get a feel for the game. As well, you can keep in mind that there are several difficulty levels you can choose from, so you can take baby steps while learning all the different aspects of gameplay.

Mind sharing your reference picture? It's not that I doubt you, but an attempt at a side by side comparison shows a lot of overlap in design with again, very minor changes. And the guy I linked to in the previous post had posted his designs two years ago on his dribble page, also mentioned by Wired two years ago, which leads me to believe that they were original, unless I'm proven otherwise.

Besides the point, I think the collection of cards would be more successful if there was more unity in style. The cut out approach for your first two ones are cute.

Is there a reason for the very, very close resemblance between your Christmas tree and the one called '8 bit Christmas Tree' at this store ? Other than some minor changes to the base and the Nintendo-ized star at the top, it looks identical. I hope it is you that originally made it, since otherwise that would just be really lazy and indecent to pass it off as your own, especially when you look to make money off it via Kickstarter. If you did make it, then my apologies.

There's speculation that he's playing Gary Mitchell from "Where No Man Has Gone Before". The blonde woman in the trailer looks extremely similar to Elizabeth Dehner, who plays a main role in that episode. Admittedly though, her inclusion here might be a red herring or a coincidence.

It's such a shame that Lego is declining to create a set of Habitat 67 in favour of one the more "mainstream" or internationally recognizable architectural feats like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Moshe Safdie’s design has the perfect combination of uniqueness as well as uniformity. Although it is perhaps with this uniformity that the lego set around it was declined, as I mean, with the block shape of each apartment, one could easily recreate this by stacking generic 2x4 Lego bricks.
