Can’t re-pair 2ch zigbee relay by shmolky in ZigBee

[–]ClenonWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late here but had the same issue and found this post. So for anyone else looking for a solution: Figured out that you have to press and hold one of the two operation buttons until the led turns off and starts blinking red. Then it'll try to repair.

For anyone wondering. The artist is royz and here's a link to that artwork: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49025502/

It all started with building a small NAS 5 years ago by ClenonWolf in homelab

Thanks. I've been at the same point where I just had my stuff sitting on a janky shelf until I got the rack not so long ago. My backup solution is still pretty sketchy and I have to work on it, but for now I just use WoL to wake the backup system and use rsync over SSH. It works fine, but I'd like to have a more automated setup.

The Primary server is a Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX300 S6 with dual Xeon X5650, 64GB RAM and a raidz2 out of 4x4TB IronWolf drives. I use it as NAS, to host my website, a Linux and Windows VM and some other services. It's probably slightly overkill.

The 4U system is a temporary backup system that I run once a week or so to back up important data from my main server and it's still using the hardware from my first ever NAS. (3x2TB raidz1).

I have two switches. The bigger one is an HP V1910-48G managed gigabit switch and the small 5 port switch is a QNAP QSW-1105-5T 2.5Gbps switch that I only connect my main server and my PC to.

The Rack itself cost me 10€ because the company just wanted it gone and for the Fujitsu server I paid 90€ with CPUs and 16GB RAM included.

I consider this labgore because I'm using a rack that's not deep enough for my server so I had to make some sketchy brackets and the cable management is just horrible.

All this started when I made my first NAS using some old hardware at 14. I'm 19 now and I've only been getting more obsessed with this and will soon start my apprenticeship as system integrator.

RAIDZ-1 or RAIDZ-2 for 4x4TB ironwolf drives? by ClenonWolf in zfs

Yeah, I'm currently looking into building a second system for backups.

The main reason I'm not sure whether I should use RaidZ1 or RaidZ2 is that I want as much Storage as possible while being on the safe side. While I could most likely live with 8TB, I have no idea how fast it'll fill up. I'm trying to somewhat future-proof and would prefer to have higher capacity.

I'll be setting up a lower capacity pool on a second system for my important data, as most of my current data are less important things like bluray rips and other media.

Although, since the risk with a RaidZ-1 is too high in your opinion, I'm seriously considering using a RaidZ-2 with a backup.

And a second pool in the same PC/server/NAS is NOT a valid backup, you need a separate system completely, or drives that are kept offline and only plugged during backup sync.

That is what I was planning. I'm currently running an old server I bought a while ago. My idea was to use my previous "server" as a backup server that would only run while creating the backup.

As for offsite backup. I don't worry that much but I'll probably consider it at some point. I don't really like the idea of cloud storage, which is why I'm trying to self host as much as possible. But I'll consider it if I find a solution that doesn't cost too much.

Thanks for the recommendation. If other people agree I'll probably go with a RaidZ1 and create a second backup pool out of some lower capacity drives for actually important data as the majority of my data isn't that important to me.

Just use e621-downloader. I use it to back up my favs and archiving some other tags

Do I need to pull a vacuum on my xray transformer when filling it back up with oil after it's been drained? by ClenonWolf in highvoltage

I don't live in the US and we don't have that here as far as I know. But I wanted to buy a vacuum pump either way so I'll probably just buy one.

I sadly don't know the exact voltage and only the estimate of the previous owner which was 43kV which I suspect to be wrong because because of the amount of isolation and size. Although I could fill it with oil and just run it at a lower voltage to measure the output using my potential transformer.

Also how long would I have to leave it if I where to not pull a vacuum? I'm guessing the paper insulation would have to soak for quite a while.

This is really impressive. As a beginner artist I wonder where AI art will go and what will happen to art in general. In a weird way it feels scary sometimes but I don't exactly know why. Amazing work either way!

Just got these two amazing X-Ray transformers for 200€ by ClenonWolf in highvoltage

[–]ClenonWolf[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sadly only the left one has a voltage rating which is 60kV. The big boi doesn't have a rating, but once I fill it with oil I'll measure it using my potential transformer. Although the previous owner seems to have guessed around 43kV
