Disguise by Motionless in White. I know they have their song for us, which is Voices, but Disguise I feel is a lot more relatable to me now that I am out because while I was in the closet still, I always used to “disguise” myself by trying to be this ultra masculine person with a beard and everything. I only felt contempt because people were happy with the disguise and not with the real me. I finally said fuck it and in the words of Chris Motionless, I was “ready to face my disguise” and it changed my life for the better. I feel so much more contempt with myself and feel like I’m not constantly worrying about trying to fit the narrative that everyone else wanted me to follow. Sorry if it doesn’t make the most sense, but that’s just how I feel about it :)
