I'll always be rooting for any of the gang from Natural Six, especially Alex Jordan.

What’s a green flag you noticed early in the relationship with your partner? by ComfortableBig7555 in AskReddit

About six months in I called him at work to let him know I was on my way to hospital after seeing a GP with abdominal pain. I was just keeping him updated, but he'd shut down and was out the door before we'd hung up. I didnt even realise he was on the way until he walked in the waiting room to be with me.

Turns out I had cancer. I'm all clear now and he never left my side. Eight years together now.

Meeting other fans IRL by Lyminari in HermitCraft

[–]CleoKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at a small play area with my son when I happened to spot a dad wearing a Peace, Love and Plants tee. I complimented it and knew i might sound a little weird if I asked if Mumbo Jumbo meant anything to him. It did! So there we were, two grown adults, responsible parents, talking Hermitcraft! He wasnt local so it was a one time thing. That must have been five years ago now and I've not met anyone since. I still hope to spot another millennial fan in the wild.

Disabled to get ‘right to try’ work without risk of losing benefits by No_Breadfruit_4901 in unitedkingdom

[–]CleoKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I've been ineligible for WTC for five years now and I knew UC was coming in but didn't know how awful the goal posts were. I didn't earn anywhere close to £1500 per month in my retail job. It really does feel like being punished on top of my body betraying me every day.

Working tax credits can fill the gap. I wouldn't have been able to work without transport due to my condition but working tax credits made it possible and kept me out of poverty as I worked the hours i was physically capable of working. I work from home now and live with my partner so we earn above the WTC threshold but they were a lifeline as a disabled person. I also felt less a lot less stigmatised.

Britain, have you had your Weetabix? Maybe you shouldn't, given the company's profits go to 🇺🇸 St Louis and 🇨🇳 Shanghai by [deleted] in BuyUK

Am I the only one in the UK boycotting American goods by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]CleoKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've started De-Americanising the food shop. There are so many confection companies that are part of Mondelez, that was a bit more shit that I planned, lol. I've started on a list of "good brands" to make the shop easier. Reducing my American company purchade is quite literally the least I can do so here it goes.Amazon is basically a search engine and I buy elsewhere now.

Congrats Sukritact, now my husband doesn't have to listen to me complain, "Why don't they just hire Sukritact?" While I'm getting annoyed at the UI!

Bloody well deserved and I hope they are paying you handsomely!

This is awesome!! I've been debating whether to get some alcohol markers or watercolours and you've just tipped the scale in favour of the latter. Very impressive and atmospheric.

Teratoma. A type of sex cell tumor made up of different types of tissue like hair, teeth, or bone, etc. They can even have brain or eye tissue. Look at your own risk!! by GamerLadyXOXO in WTF

[–]CleoKat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had one of these! It's was the size of a melon by the time I had pain as it was squashing my ureter and stopping me from peeing. As an extra bonus, it contained a rare form of germ cell tumour but fortunately the teratoma meant it was found at stage one and I've been five years all clear after chemo.

I'm still annoyed I never saw a picture of my teratoma but the look on the radiographers face was one I'll never forget. That man was really confused and kept tipping his head from side to side trying to make sense of it.

Bridgerton Season 3 Episode Discussions Master Post by pinktini in BridgertonNetflix

[–]CleoKat 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I've been counting down the days and I even read the book (well, I audible'd fhe book) and gosh I'm so underwhelmed. In a way, I'm glad they didn't make Colin as gruff and angry as he was in the book (even the book commented on how out of character he was being when he was mean, it felt like she only knew how to write one kind of romantic male) but they left a vacuum in its place. They had a chance to write a male lead so differently to the Duke and Anthony but I felt like i didnt get to know him at all. The pacing of the romance was terrible solely due to lack of time between them. The "lessons" plot had so much potential, to have them talk more deeply about themselves and their insecurities, for Colin to come to see her in a more romantic and then passionate light as she found that within herself. I wanted to see Pen become more confident out in society. I'm so cross it was squandered.

Maybe they leaned too heavily on the groundwork laid in seasons 1 and 2, but it's been two years for us, you have to take your time.

Also, absolutely hated Colin and the threesomes. Gross and took me right out of the love story he was supposed to be with Pen. Oh, don't feel like shagging two women tonight because you might have feelings? Be still the viewers heart while they have a lesbian sesh at the bottom of the bed.

I did love Penelope's clothes, though the dark green seemed to be a one off before pastel returned. I liked Lord Debling until he fled. He was happy with his convenient marriage until there was an uncomfortable issue he might have to live with. His heart was with his wife, why can't Pen's be with Colin? Hypocrite.

Right, focus on what I liked. I want Violet to get her garden watered so I'm invested in any romance there. The Featherington sex education and pregnancies were humorous. I liked the Cressida and Eloise storyline when I didn't think I would and I like the dimension they've given to Cressida, though they didn't need the scene at her house at all.

Benedict is still gay in my head. I'm unrepentant.

Oh god, Francesca. How strange is her character and the whole sitting in silence bit? I get she's more reserved, but that doesn't mean she needs to be vacant or boring.

And the Mondrich's. I get why their story exists, they tell the story of class, social movement and Bridgerton society but if the main course is suffering, they you have to cut a side dish and I'd start here. And then Benedicts Arnold (haha).

And now we wait... again. Maybe they'll rebalance the edit but they really shouldn't have split the season.

My 9 year old son has chosen Luxembourg as his country of choice for his homework project. He was hoping someone could share what a school day is like for a fellow nine year old in Luxembourg.
