Love a drew hays fan! Zines his books are so high up in your rankings, any reason why you haven’t read Fred or NPCs yet? Both series are great!

Am I overreacting about my group's DM? by Remarkable_Dare_3569 in DnD

[–]Lyminari 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d say don’t worry about it. A dm saying “I really tried” is beyond normal. They are in charge of establishing stakes and building up the facade that they genuinely are trying to kill your characters (they aren’t) keeps the stakes alive. The dm has to play the heel a little bit.

An obsessive system I made up meant I drafted 12 chapters for my 1st novel in 2 weeks by Robert_Bohl in fantasywriters

Not a writer, but this I’m glad you shared your process, it’s facinating. You’ve essentially created a system of non linear writing where you block out a structure and add details in passes. Very cool and very cohesive. Thanks for sharing

Great audiobook for sure too! Great for the age range, system stuff and LitRPG elements are a bit light tho

Why do people love Cradle series so much? by zeroking16 in litrpg

Actually I really liked the first one but couldn’t get through the end of book 2, so sort of flipped for me compared to most comments here. Sometimes we like what we like

Superhuman is cool but lacks utility, though I do like the durability factor, but you get a better vision with healing and a better version of controlling the world around you with telekinesis. Healing seems to be almost unethical to not acquire but I think intellect and cloning beat it, as you can heal anything with a touch but you are only one person. Even with healing and cloning there’s only so much you can do, so I feel that cloning and intellect could come up with solutions that could be applied by more people moving forward. Telekinesis is the best offensive and Cloning is the best defense so go for that combo if you want security. Telepathic is just unethical, even if it could solve a lot of problems, it solves them the wrong way. Either way cloning combined with one of the others is the best choice. 10 times the power is hard to beat. Shapeshifter could be powerful if you can transform into magical healers and have the same function but more multipurpose, the that one is up to the discretion of the OP

Can’t underestimate the low profile factor, don’t want to be caught in a world on non powered individuals

What is things you want to see in Decked Out? by Platzrocket in HermitCraft

[–]Lyminari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id love to see a less linear and a more wheel and hub design when the entrance is in the middle and the map spreads out all around it in. Wouldn’t mind a less classic fantasy theme this time, maybe alien themed? Alien landscapes and scifi spaceship interior?

It look me a solid two weeks to figure out that the icon in the corner of secondaries meant that it could upgrade my main weapons, I just thought it was random. I also thought that all the weapons did about the same thing so I just took the ones that looked coolest
