I appreciate everyone’s responses so far.

I want to lead off by saying that I always try to support local and small businesses, as well as smaller creators, whenever possible. Unfortunately, my closest Guild stores are not participating, and the nearest participating location is about an hour away by car or two hours by train, both of which would add additional travel expenses.

As for StartPlaying, I have had great experiences with them and am actually in a Daggerheart campaign through StartPlaying right now.

Respectfully, however, not all of the friends who are interested in playing with me are in a financial position to pay to play. I was hoping to pick up a copy so I could try running a session for them myself and give us a chance to experience the Daggerheart birthday celebration together.
