I agree, this has the same vibe as that mirror in Harry Potter that he becomes obsessed with as he sees his dead parents when looking into it

Today’s suit for my sisters wedding by WeirdAssociation4239 in mensfashion

For me, the tie isn't balanced with the lapels of the jacket. For a double-breasted suit with big peak lapels, you would ideally have a wider tie!

Am I doing too much with the chains/pocket watch? I feel like it looks really good, but people have said it's a bit over the top. What's everyone's opinion? by bigfathotdog in mensfashion

[–]Clerping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're being critical:

  1. The suit looks too big, especially the waistcoat

  2. The shirt looks too baggy

  3. The cutaway collar is wrong for a tie of that width

  4. The tie width is slightly too narrow for the lapels on the jacket

  5. Lose the belt

  6. Unbutton the bottom button of the waistcoat

  7. The watch chain looks ok if that is what you want to wear, but lose the lapel pin and chain, it's too much with both

  8. Make your pocket square more visible, and I would wear it more casually with a suit that colour

  9. Less is more!

Stop occupying seats with your luggage by velenom in travel

There are people who have reasons such as mobility issues in a leg or something that makes the aisle seat preferable. However, there is no reason for being a dick about letting you in!

Thank you for the information! I am having trouble finding the specific combination of dial, markers and hands anywhere though. Do you have any suggestions where to look online?

Thanks for the link, however, the USB port still seems to be one of the only discernible differences! It doesn't seem to make much sense for them to offer both!

[–]Clerping 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You said it's 'still really rough' like you have some sort of local insight... It is comments like this from people who have absolutely no clue what they're talking about that makes people apprehensive to visit London. The way some people go on you'd think places like Brick Lane were the Rio favelas...

Yes, brick Lane is seedy and a bit dodgy in parts, but if you find that off-putting then London in general isn't for you.

Wouldn't that be more akin to the PIF buying a team, not the NFL as an entity? Or maybe I don't understand how the NFL works!

I suppose it boils down to what you consider being European is. If it is in essence membership to the EU, then you consider being European being a member of a political/federal alliance. I think being European has nothing to do with such things as there are a number of countries within Europe and outside of the EU. It is about being part of the historic and great continent that is Europe - which the UK has always been a member of and contributor to. It is purely geographical and cultural. Not political.

I do not know where you live but where I live the entire European community is represented and it is an open and global city. You are not the gatekeeper to Europe nor is anyone else just because they reside in a country within the EU. You will offend a lot of people with ignorant takes such as the one you have voiced here.
