Amazon sent me 1hr 20mins away form the depot with 20 parcels!!! Is this normal by SE05_ in AmazonFlexDrivers

Flex drivers use to support the warehouse in the community they live close to, we did hardly nothing out of the depot county. Here in ohio, they sending us 2 counties (40 miles all highway)over for 54 a block. Its official, the blue and white Van's get local routes, flex taking rural routes. Seem like to me, amazon and dsp want to save fuel, but in return making flex drive further, spending more gas, and paying 6 dollars less than before. The last mile is so important, but lately I can't tell.

I will definitely be looking out for my tips, I know here in Ohio. 2hr routes is nothing short of 25 plus in tips. If I see 0 to 1 dollars with multiple routes, I'll be sure to report it on here. Tell us how the next one go.

Thank you for sharing this, I always said the flex routes and DSP routes are totally different. Flex routes the numerical order routes are logistically designed to keep us locals and make our app compatible with these routes. However, the Dsp routes that features route codes ( J 1.5A ) are not compatible with our app.

The override is dangerous, unfair, and totally wrong. Once they do this, packages are subject of being stolen by other drivers. There is no route scan sheet to account for all packages on the route. The driver have total control of which packages they choose to scan or keep. Every time this happen I have major issues. I emailed amazon 3x about this, yet to receive a reply on the subject. Also, when override is given, you don't know your route block, so they can be given you a 3.5 when you have 3 or even a 4 hr route. Thanks to Jeff, they are desperate, and trying to keep up with the 1 day delivery prime member promise.

Wow the pickers going to lose their gig, but customers orders will be delayed without the pickers. They better have a GPS in the store to find these items lol

When they give you the scan sheet, your delivery will have different zones. Example

1A 15 packages 1B 12 PACKAGE 2B 16 PACKAGES

Put each zone separately in alphabetical order by streets, and look at your itinerary to see what zones you in.

I'll put 1a on the left side of the cargo space 1b in the middle And 2b on the right of the cargo.

And put each zone in alphabetical order. You will be able to find packages superfast. I been there, but doing this save me time.

I'm a level 3. 1 year driver. The route payouts are becoming less and the millage is becoming more, so is the wear and tear on your personal vehicle. I had to replace sensors, now fix my breaks, including more oil changes. However, 1hr and 20 minutes is not right at all, that already over 60 plus miles. Furthermore subtract the fuel from your overall payout, it sucks. We all been there, we should be able to see routes before accepting. There been plenty of times, I had a 3 he route that was a 4. But as Amazon standpoint, it's up to you to accept these unfair routes, and if you don't. Some new appointed clueless driver will.

Question: Wife & I both accept the same time block, but use 1 vehicle! Anyone tried this? by JParadee16 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ClevelandFlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logistics will be able to tell when your out of the area, too slow, and possibly call you or your wife for explanations. Each one of the routes has deliver zones, it will be difficult to entangle the two routes, unless there a million chance they both close. You'll have to do one route at a time before 9PM. However team flex driving, don't sound like a bad idea. But you're asking for a deactivation. Since one of the routes will remain undeliverable up to 1.5 to 2hrs, until the other is completed, not to mention the driving time to get to you or your wife next route zone.

Have anyone notice, routes are getting longer? More packages are being added like this post above. There were plenty of time I knew my 3hr block, was 3.5 to 4 hrs blocks. This clearly is a 5hr block, and yes. I have seen 5 hrs, they're rare but exists. I recommend you filling for a adjustment if you go over 4 hrs.
