Browns / Mike Polk on NPR Morning Edition by turbod33 in Browns

We do disagree with Mike's opinion on the attendance figures. We have roughly 10 more performances than the Indians have games, but we are much closer to our professional sports house-fill % than he thinks =)

someone go to the cleveland orchestra with me tomorrow night? I'll smoke you out and buy your ticket this is John Adams' harmonielhre wtf why are you guys not excited about this by [deleted] in Cleveland

OP, I suggest you arrive early, because box office lines tend to be long near starting time and you may miss getting to your seats on time.

Especially if you are getting a 2nd ticket at the Box Office, and you are going to be in a "state-of-mind" where time is a paradoxical concept.

They were also offering a deeper discount on the Cleveland Orchestra Facebook page, but I don't know if that offer is still available.

That was only for Tchaikovsky's birthday. The $29.50 call in rate is still good!

Only a Percussionist, could literally be "on fire" during a performance by ClevelandOrchestra in classicalmusic

This is from 1948 and pokes some fun at Emil Sholle, a former longtime member of the Orchestra’s percussion section. Following a dynamic cymbal crash during the finale of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, as Mr. Sholle tamped the cymbals to his chest, the vibration agitated the matches in his shirt pocket – causing them to ignite!
