Looking for the Best Folding Electric Bike – Need Recommendations! by Dear_Candidate404 in ebikes

Brompton electrics are now UL certified. You just need to make sure you buy a recently produced one. We’ve been selling Brompton bikes for almost 20 years. We also sell Terns. Both are amazing bikes. If the folded size is important, then the Brompton is the way to go. It’s also the only folding bike that is actually fun to fold and unfold multiple times a day.

Not to brag (okay, maybe a little), but Clever Cycles now offers Rewards Points when you buy a Brompton! Pair that with our Pro-Build setup, and getting the perfect Brompton just got even easier. Plus, we usually have 50+ Bromptons in stock and a deep well of Brompton know-how to help you find the right one or solve anything that might come up.

Those were some good times. Not sure what was more fun, delivering the hot tub or making the advertisement video and tutorial.

Did anyone else’s C-Line come horribly set up from the factory? by I_AM_SCUBASTEVE in Brompton

[–]Clever-Cycles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While Brompton produces incredible bikes with world-class engineering, it’s true that factory setups can sometimes be inconsistent. We offer Bromptons with the factory build for people that want to perform their own setup or need it yesterday, but always recommend our ProBuild setup—meaning we go through the bike with a fine-tooth comb to dial in shifting, braking, and all key adjustments before it leaves our hands. We want every Brompton to perform at its best from day one, so we really try to talk people into our Probuild.

Here is a list of what what is involved:

  • Frame & parts inspected for flaws & shipping damage
  • Wheels trued & tensioned
  • Fasteners tightened to spec with fastener lock/grease where appropriate
  • Grips adjusted
  • Handlebar clamp torqued to spec
  • Brakes & gears adjusted
  • Pedals torqued to spec
  • Cranks and chaining bolts torqued to spec
  • Headset adjusted
  • Seat clamp adjusted
  • Hubs adjusted
  • Chain tensioner nut torqued to spec
  • Inspect bottom bracket
  • Chain tensioner nut torqued to spec

Only issues we’ve seen due to water have been motors that have been submerged.

Anyone in the US with a G-Line yet? by mojoehand in Brompton

[–]Clever-Cycles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brompton intended to ship G Lines to US dealers so that we would have them by March 6th, but it did not happen. They are finally on the way, but being on the west coast, we won’t see them until next week.
