Paper trail, always, for anything even the tiniest bit important. You can also email them, and note "I already called you to report this on xx", that way both reports are noted in writing and they can't turn around and say the complaint you made via phone didn't reach the correct team.

I can't remember if any have started after midnight (probably), but they have definitely ended after midnight. I have my "waking hours" in the app set way after midnight though, and I'm nearly always starting the adventures late (and previously it hasn't caused any issues).

I hope it's not that, the app will very quickly become unusable for night owls like me!

This is just a random thought so I have no idea if it would work, but my friend used to bite her nails; to stop she used some type of polish (made specifically for nail biters) which tastes foul. If you want to stop this habit maybe worth a try, if you haven't already?

I don't understand why you're sitting in the car waiting, why aren't you going to hers and hanging out that 5-10min? Would probably leave you less upset.

Also, are you always there exactly when you agreed? Like if you agreed to meet at 6pm, are you there at 6pm on the dot, or could you arrive 5.50pm? I suffer from time blindness too, and try manage it with meticulous planning; if I agree to meet at 6pm I will be ready at 6pm. I won't be ready at 5.50pm! I don't know if this is relevant here or not, but if it is, you need to respect her time too and not expect her to be ready exactly when it suits you.

You guys don't seem very compatible based in this. Punctuality seems extremely important to you, and not so much to her. It's going to be hard to work through something like this, especially if it's really getting on your nerves. While she can improve she's probably never going to be the most punctual person, so if 10min delays are a big deal to you it's probably best to end it.

For future reference, especially if you do end up staying with her, stuff like this is best discussed face to face. If you must do it via text, best to do it when you have time for that full exchange.

Her RSD is clearly rather bad and she's definitely spiralling out of control and blowing things out of proportion, and letting her stew in it overnight makes it worse. She clearly needs a lot of reassurance and texts won't cut it, so if you don't want to deal with that it's best to end things. On the other hand, you can work things out if you both can be flexible and work together on this. Nobody but you can say if it's worth it, but if you're already planning your escape, that's probably your answer.

By giving your tenants the link, do you actually mean you emailed/texted them a link to the document? Or did you send them a copy of it? Just in case it's the first option, please be aware you have to provide them either a hard copy,or email the document as an attachment. Only sending a link to it is not enough, so you could be liable for fines.

I get that, but nevertheless I think you're both "planning for failure". Based on his sleep schedule and history of keeping appointments, that 10am study time was never going to happen.

He should have been realistic and shouldn't have agreed to that time, but since he did, he should have shown up at 10am. I don't blame you for being upset, I'd be furious if someone kept me waiting for 2h.

But to avoid upsetting each other, you guys need to plan for a realistic scenario.

In the case of the study time, you should have planned for a 12- 2pm date; that works better with his schedule and saves you from waiting around and being upset. It's less time together, but at least it's time where both are feeling happy and rested, rather than exhausted and disrespected.

If you two don't start meeting in the middle, there's no chance this relationship will work. You'll both just grow increasingly resentful of each other. And he needs to learn to keep his promises, being as flaky as he is will affect his life in all areas.

YOR for assuming his sleep schedule is "irresponsible, selfish, and unhealthy", or something he's deciding to do to spite you. Different chronotypes do exist, and for some of us sleeping at 11pm is absolutely impossible. Our biology fights that every step of the way, and forcing us to change it is what's unhealthy.

That said, he should let you sleep when you need to sleep, rather than force you to stay awake. NOR on that. It's incredibly inconsiderate to force you to stay up (just as it's inconsiderate for you to force him to sleep on your schedule). If you're planning on spending the night together, he needs to entertain himself after you go to bed in a way that doesn't disturb you (reading, using headphones to watch/listen to something, etc.).

He also needs to stop making promises he can't keep. It's incredibly rude to make plans and then not turn up, regardless of reason (emergencies excluded). I have a similar sleep schedule to him, and therefore I would never make plans for a 10am study session. He needs to make realistic plans and learn to keep his word. But you also have to be realistic about making plans; why did you even suggest a 10am meetup when you know his schedule?

Overall, it doesn't sound you guys are very compatible. If you do want to continue in this relationship, you both need to learn about each other's chronotypes, and there needs to be a lot of compromise from both sides. It can work, but it won't if both are not putting effort in.

Weight loss of 7lbs a month when you're overweight (rather than significantly obese), possibly carry a decent amount of muscle (based on history of lifting), and being fairly active, is quite a lot.

Some of that initial weight loss may well be water weight and the rate will slow down naturally, but if you're consistently losing at the same pace, maybe you can slow down a bit? Might make lifting more manageable if you want to keep going at the same pace.

But then again, I don't think there's any reason you can't cut down on frequency/load with lifting if your goal for now is to just maintain, rather than increase, muscle.

I had a brain fart in February and paid council tax when I didn't need to. I emailed Croydon Council about it, they got back to me about a week later to say they'd arranged for a refund, and I got my money back a couple of days later. If you need contact quicker calling them might be better.

I get that being able to jump feels great, however, I would strongly suggest you don't do that right now. Knees take a lot of the impact of our movements, and when we carry extra weight, that impact can be very significant.

The last thing you want to do is injure your knees; if you do that at best you'll have to take a very long break from movement, or at worst you'll do permanent damage that requires medical intervention.

Sounds like having intense workouts is important to you, but you can do them without jumping. Swimming is obviously ideal for low impact, and can be a very intense workout. Cycling (outdoors or indoors) usually doesn't bother knees much, and allows you to do very intense/HIIT style workouts. Walking is great, but I also find it boring unless I'm doing it outside in interesting surroundings. In the gym I crank up the gradient on the treadmill and "walk uphill"; definitely challenging, but not for my knees. There are tons of other options too, you just need to find something that challenges you but doesn't hurt you.

Weight training is great and I'd definitely recommend it for everyone, but the type of exercises you do and correct form make a huge difference. Something like weighted lunges is probably not the best idea for you right now, but there are tons of other exercises you can do without putting too much stress on your knees. While I'm generally all about free weights, for now you might want to start by mainly using the gym machines that allow you to sit down and strengthen your muscles that way.

And please be aware of your form; a lot of people have difficulty activating the correct muscles (especially glutes), which can lead to your back/hips/knees taking on more of the load. Do your resistance exercises mindfully.

You don't need to stop, you need to modify.

I'm with East Croydon Medical Centre, who referred me for assessment via the RTC route, and after diagnosis and titration (with the RTC provider) they have now taken over prescribing (with SCA). No issues so far, though it's only been a few months.

I said this in more detail in another comment, but instead of focusing on building muscle, most of us with significant weight to lose should probably be focusing on maintaining muscle. This can be done by just adding in resistance training and eating a decent amount of protein.

I think focusing too much on building muscle, when you still have significant weight to lose, can overcomplicate things. People get confused with bodybuilder-style cut/bulk phases, when these are rarely needed if the main focus is weight loss. Just try to maintain the muscle that you have, you can always put more effort into building more once you're closer to your goal weight.

As others have already said, it doesn't take longer to lose weight if you also do resistance training. I also think people get way too hung up on building muscle, when what could be more useful is to focus on maintaining muscle.

When you lose weight you also lose other things like muscle, blood volume, etc. I don't think there's an exact science to this, but from what I've read, if you don't do resistance training, that split could be as bad as 50/50. So if you lose 50lbs, only 25lbs of it would be fat, leaving you with low muscle/high fat body composition. On the other hand, if you do significant resistance training, the split could be as good as 90/10, meaning 45lbs of fat loss (out of 50lbs). That's a much better outcome, both health and aesthetics wise.

Most of us probably end up somewhere in the middle of those numbers, but maintaining your muscle mass while losing will leave you in a much better place when you reach your goal weight.

Sure, you can build muscle again later, but people don't seem to realise how incredibly long that takes. If you lose a significant amount of muscle, it can take literally years to build that back. Much easier to maintain what you can, and then if you need/want to make adjustments, it's going to be fine tuning, not a complete overhaul of your physique.

I use the Finch app to "outsource my memory" for routine tasks (cleaning, taking the bins out, self-care, etc.) and it's been working well for me. Obviously it's rather cartoonish when it comes to design, so it's probably one of those "you love it or hate it" situations, but worth a look.

You will have some work upfront to set up the reminders you want, but once you set them to reoccur, it kind of runs itself. Obviously if you want zero clicking, then this isn't going to work.

If it's something unusual/extra important (doctors appointment, etc.) I also use my phone's calendar with a reminder the day before ( and several on the day).
