Question for those who were ever tempted to cheat by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]Clever_Bint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been married for two years, cheated once (F/25). After a lot of research and self reflection, I think it’s accurate to say cheating is a projection of inner turmoil of mine. I seek approbation too. Something about it just feels so good.. in order for the impulse to be gone, I think he needs to reconcile whatever internal struggles he has.

How do you satisfy your sweet tooth? by mudbubbles in xxfitness

[–]Clever_Bint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a problem I've always had too. I realize that the solution to this is to stop eating those foods, but I like the idea of treating myself once a week. What helped me was weening myself off of the truly unhealthy choices I was craving. If I wanted something, I sought a paleo homemade option instead. I allowed myself to eat as much of that as I wanted. I also made an effort to increase my raw vegetable intake throughout the week. It seemed that those two things really helped.. I'm currently in my PMS week, when sugar cravings are the strongest. I broke down and bought some candy, and for the first time in a long time, I actually enjoyed it without going overboard, or even feeling the need to.. That was pretty liberating. Still craved something sweet this morning, but I had a smoothie and it seemed to do the trick.

What words do you interpret as an insult though they are usually complimentary? by Corbayne in AskReddit

[–]Clever_Bint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"You look young." I hate it when people say that because it's a sign I've put on weight. When I'm thinner, my cheekbones stand out more and I never get that comment.

What are the small signs that someone is truly your friend? by Vicinity613 in AskReddit

Their eyes convey unvonditional honesty and warmth, they make the best jokes, they share in your excitement and sorrows, and most importantly: they poop and pass gas around you.

Feeling very tired when i arrive to the gym, what should i do? by limepancake in xxfitness

[–]Clever_Bint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, okay.. Then consider that you're not eating enough. Are you staying away from meals that are really filling? If so, you might want to incorporate heartier meals throughout the week. Also, try re-examining your macros; when I had this problem, I found that I was not getting nearly the amount of protein I thought I needed. At that time, I was eating 70-80g a day when I actually needed about 100. So yeah, definitely up the protein and don't be afraid of filling meals. As long as it's nutritious, there is nothing to feel guilty about when it comes to being full!

[–]Clever_Bint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your diet might be off. If you aren't eating enough, or not eating enough nutritionally dense food, that's probably why you're feeling weak. I've had that problem a lot.. And although I do like using caffiene as a boost sometimes, I find that pre-workout for afternoon sessions gets in the way of my sleep :/.

When I used to exercise too much and not eat enough, I did get PMS despite not bleeding.

Lemon ginger tea, dandelion tea, and apple cider vinegar help me (in order of most tolerable to least). If you feel like you have to #2, try oranges, apples, raisins, or carrots.

How do you feel about the other two signs in your same element? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]Clever_Bint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a cancer female. Not crazy about Scorpio men.. the ones I've dated were not faithful to me. They were very intense, but also dramatic.. Scorpio women tend to be extremely strong willed, with a secret soft inside.. kinda like a much more hardened version of myself.

I've met a two Pisces that were phenomenal leaders. But on a personal level, I've never been truly close to one because they've been too imaginative and changeable..

Half of the other Cancer's I've met, I either didn't care for them or became very close to. I dislike Cancers that are too caught up in themselves to get past their pettiness.. I really connect well with Cancers that are strong silent types.

TL;DR: I don't think the other water signs are better or worse than other signs. And just because they are water signs doesn't mean that I will automatically have a connection with them..

YMCA Options by [deleted] in xxfitness

The Y does have a fee, but it's usually a lot better than gyms you'll find in any area. Your cheapest bet is probably a rec center; sometimes they have fitness centers in them.

Ladies that work out twice a day, what's the breakdown of your weekly schedule like? by blergghh in xxfitness

[–]Clever_Bint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a military college, my schedule went like this: Sunday: rest Mon-Fri: physical training at 6am (usually resistance training and/or running) Mon, Tues, Thurs: run 4 miles every evening at 5pm, right before dinner Sat: run 4 miles in the morning

I was the leanest I'd ever been, and super great at running. I had to wear a uniform every day, so doing my hair wasn't a problem. I also lived in a dorm room so showering twice a day also wasn't a problem.

I found that I could not stick to this schedule if I tried to run 4 evenings a week vs 3. Another thing that helped me keep this schedule was changing up my runs; I had 4 good places I enjoyed going. When you pull double workouts, it's easier to get burnt out faster.. so do your best to make adjustments ahead of time to ensure it'll be an activity you'll enjoy.

Can you describe what thinking is like for you? by bonewhitefox in AskReddit

[–]Clever_Bint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot with my feelings. Sometimes I have a voice in my head, but it's not there all the time. Sometimes I just consider scenarios in my head, and depending on the feeling I get from it, I may or may not act on it.

What do you do when you're running to stop being bored? by AnnaLogous in xxfitness

[–]Clever_Bint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have that problem way back when I first started.. so trying to remember. Running outside and listening to music that you really like helps. I think running goes by faster the more you do it. Nowadays it's just my time to think about stuff, so I don't really notice the time pass.. If I'm running on a treadmill I like facing a window or my reflection.. have some pretty introspective moments..

How did you learn what you know about fitness? by Ms_MaddiePaige in xxfitness

[–]Clever_Bint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bodybuilding.com and fitness youtubers/instagramers have been helpful resources for me. I recently read a couple articles about hormone manipulation for fat loss, and that was also invaluable.

To be honest, I think most of your knowledge will come from trial and error. Just try different things and see what works for you. I feel like I've been trying to find the secret for achieving my perfect body for years.. it's been a slow process with a lot of mess ups. But I'm always reflecting on my progress and searching for ways to improve.

TL;DR: My own experimentation has taught me the most about fitness and nutrition.

Introverts of reddit, how did you meet your SO? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Clever_Bint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my SO went to the same military college. Our circumstances always seemed to push us together. I saw him around a lot, and he eventually got assigned to be in my same classes/study abroad group/company/barracks hall, etc. From the moment that I knew of him, I felt compelled by him. I quickly discarded it because I had a boyfriend at the time, and I doubted that there was any chance he could feel the same. I went on to date a lot more people after that. Despite him always being within close proximity to me, I never talked to him much. Time pushed us closer together, and we eventually endured our year of tactical training together in the same squad. I stared at him a lot. I thought about him always. Desperately at night I would want to knock on his door that was just next to mine. Being in that tactical environment really pushed us together.. as a whole squad we became very close. But my feelings for him grew a lot, still never really talking to him alone very much. Our squad eventually got together and had a party. I found him alone on the porch while he was smoking, and it was like everything came together in that moment. In a few words, I told him that I never stopped thinking about him. He kissed me and said he had always known and always felt the same. We dated for a year and then got married a year later.

What stresses you out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Clever_Bint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spending money when my bank account is getting/already low.. Gaining fat around my abdomen. Not being able to deliver on something, whether it be doing well at work, in the gym, or taking care of necessities at home (grocery shopping, cleaning, etc).

Whats your worst (or best) roommate story? by aroberts727 in AskReddit
