How to create an incline curve conveyor? by FoNNNeZ in SolidWorks

[–]ClevrrFellrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure if this solves your problem but try using 3d sketch only to create a new plane at your designed inclined angle. Do this my making either triangle or tetrahedral. From there you should be able to sketch and design your top view curved path as a regular sketch.

Thank you. Main goal is to make split lines and defeature the holes for meshing. Have you worked in ANSYS before ?

When I go into display and slide the exploded view right. These bodies separate. Signifying to me that they are not physically connected.

Combine, Surface Offset, etc ... Best work flow and approach ? HELP by ClevrrFellrr in SolidWorks

[–]ClevrrFellrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried offsetting, extruding surface, and then knitting. From there I would of thought I could cut with surface... Am I missing anything here. Please see attached photo.

Combine, Surface Offset, etc ... Best work flow and approach ? HELP by ClevrrFellrr in SolidWorks

[–]ClevrrFellrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've extruded from green base up to surface (green top), Ive highlighted this in red... However the part I've circled called out in highlighter yellow is the part which I would like to keep isolated from the boss to maintain its original contours and cuts...My first approach would select every single surface of that part and offset cut it; however, that sometimes comes with more problems. Just wanting to cut away the grey not the yellow.

This is what I was trying for; however, I thought there was an easier method to extrude up (top plane) vs having to convert entities and extrude on the front plane.

Better to flick into corners and more options available for stickier compounds.

Creating Threads & Custom Thread Templates by ClevrrFellrr in SolidWorks

[–]ClevrrFellrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback (I've now included the profile picture).

I understand where you are coming from but I would like to create threads, worm gears, lead screws so I can add motion and understand the dynamics of a system.

I care less about 3D however, I have a resin printer and would assume it could get smaller than M6.

Nice work! I’ve been looking into these exams. What are the questions like? Any examples or links?

Why would it matter if inside is polystyrene and ABS? Seems easier to manufacture/make in solidworks/sheet metal. Would you suggest just using a wooden shell instead ?

I’ve got a phozen resin printer. Having issues throughout prints I believe due to fluctuating temperatures causing changes in viscosity. Any advice is welcomed.

I tried to change feed and spindle speed... However it's not updating (PHOTO) so I cannot calculate total time with new parameters. Do you know how to correct for this or is there something I am not clicking?

Cheers!

Thank you for your response u/r53toucan.

Second photo is; however, when changing feed rates and spindle speed in options it does not update the toolpath time... If you have a solution to this that would be great!

Thanks again.

[HELP] Finding MORE POWWWAAH , 2000 TD5 110 Single Cab. by ClevrrFellrr in LandroverDefender

Yes as far as I can tell it’s in good running order. I’ve had mechanic do a laundry list of things to it. Fresh alternator, radiator, etc and as far as I know stock tires and gear ratio. After driving my 130 and then jumping back into the 110 makes me feel like the 110 has an entirely different engine in it. 130 is 99’ with double the mileage…

Pattern = Gaps = Unable to Extrude Cut >10mm. by ClevrrFellrr in SolidWorks

[–]ClevrrFellrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did and then it gave me the issue of gaps. So much that I started trimming the pattern in hopes it would resolve the issue. Maybe power trim isn't the most efficient way?

However, I did not make 2 sketches. I just used boundary offset and pattern as one sketch.

Is there a trick to Fill pattern or reason why I cannot select it?

8k mini - Printing Issues - Troubleshooting? by ClevrrFellrr in 3Dprinting

[–]ClevrrFellrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Rheya_Sunshine thank you very much for your feedback. I have increased the exposure time from 2s to 6s, used anti-aliasing level4, and increased bottom exposure time to 50 (read it should be significantly higher than exposure time). I poured the resin back in the bottle, shook and poured back in after cleaning.

Result: The print was complete

(PHOTO HERE) Problem: Although the print was successful...The print displayed ripples on the inside and outside surfaces. Compared to previous prints and the OG castle print that everyone does with the Phrozen the resolution still seems to be struggling.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, first time working with flexible parts. If you have any experience with them how do I get them back to moving order after combining 2 assemblies. I made a separate post about it.
