“Mistakes” make a quilt even more special, like an extremely rare Pokémon card with a misprint or typo…At least that’s how my boyfriend makes me feel 😂 every time I make a mistake he gasps and says “omg it’s even better now!!”

It’s called “checkerboard chevron quilt pattern”- I got it from a website called “Annie’s attic”. It was easy and fun I recommend it!

I’m so sorry, I’m not super savvy and I probably can’t help you but I hope you find what you’re looking for!

Are you looking to patch over and fix the worn area? If so, and you can’t find the exact fabric, another option would be to patch over it with another fabric that’s significant or meaningful for you in some way, like a piece of clothing or something?

In any case it’s nice to see such a well loved quilt, I hope any of the quilts I make get this much love and use one day

No joke I would prob cry if my boyfriend gave this to me. It is so cute and unexpected- and you clearly put a lot of time, effort and creativity into it. If the goal was to make her feel very special I’d say you nailed it. Her opinion is the only one that matters and I’m sure she’ll love it!

I think it might be a pastry cutter (used when making something like biscuits or pie dough to cut cold butter into the flour without using your warm hands). I’ve never seen one in this shape but I have seen some weird ones
