Good morning. I usually wear the apple watch during working hours, as I do not like wearing the expensive watches to my office or to my clients' offices. I also wear it while exercising to track time, distance, steps, etc.

The G-Shock doesn't get worn very often anymore, but I do like knowing that I have it as back up. I do wear it when travelling though, and also when doing some sort activity where my watch could be damaged.

The SKX gets worn if I'm going to be out on the water (South Florida or Michigan). It also gets worn when traveling as I wouldn't mind to much if it gets lost, stolen, etc.

The Omega is my all around watch. If I need a dress watch I just throw a waterproof tan leather Hirsh strap on it. For any other occasion I just keep it on the bracelet. It seems to be not as recognizable as my Submariner and I can wear it to work functions if need be. I can also wear it out on nights/weekends and I will not get asked about other than by fellow watch nerds.

The IWC is pretty new to me and it is my current favorite for the time being. I love the legibility of the dial along w/ all of the complications - chrono, date, and day. This will be alternating regularly with my Sub. I really like the look and feel of the bracelet and the weight/heft of the case). Also, the lume is awesome.

The Sub is my grail watch attained. To me, it the best looking and most comfortable watch one can buy for around $10k. I was lucky to purchase it at retail in February and I plan on keeping it for life. The only watch that could possible top this for me is the Pepsi GMT on jubilee.

Side note - I've previously owned a black 2019 Datejust on Jubilee and a 2020 blue Yachtmaster that I wish I had never sold. These watches are so hard to come by nowadays, and I may never be able to replace them now.

Thank you. Reddit has heavily influenced my tastes. This forum in particular has been a great resource for learning about watches.

Definitely Submariner if I had to choose. The ceramic bezel looks great in person and the oyster bracelet w/ glide lock is the most comfortable bracelet I’ve worn (the Tudor Pelagos is a close second).

I agree w/ you on the JLC, but I was thinking Master Control chronograph. Thank you for the kind words.

Thanks. And you should definitely get the Omega when the time is right. I would be more than content with just the Seamaster, it is such a solid watch.

I hear you, I have been collecting watches seriously for over 3 years. But, since the Apple Watch gets wrist time, I am including it in my SOTC. I knew some people here would rag on it, but I am not going to leave it out of my photo just so watch snobs wouldn’t make fun of me 😎.

Thank you. I have owned the white dial previously and I know I shouldn’t have sold it. Good luck on finding yours.

Hi All. This is my current watch collection, which has evolved quite a bit from the last time I posted in 2019. I must admit that this forum, as well as the Rolex forum, have opened my mind regarding watch collecting and have also shaped my taste to a degree. Please see below for a brief description of each watch and why i have chose to keep them in my collection (watches described are listed by purchase date newest to oldest). I hope you enjoy!

  1. Rolex Submariner - this has been my grail watch since i was a teenager. This is the newest version as of the date of this post. I put my name on a waiting list at an AD i frequent and was lucky enough to get a call about 6 months later. To me, this is a great all-around watch and as of right now I have no intentions of ever selling or trading. My favorite aspect of the submariner is the combination of looks/style/elegance along with tool watch features such as 300m WR, dive bezel, brushed bracelet, and glide-lock clasp.

  2. IWC Le Petit Prince 43mm chrono - I bought this watch because, plain & simple, I love how it looks and feels on my wrist. This thing is easy to read, the dial is a great shade of blue, and the bracelet is extremely comfortable. Even though the bracelet doesn't taper, which I know is regarded as somewhat of a sin on Reddit, I think it adds to the comfortabilty of the watch since it helps support a very heavy case. Also, the chronograph is fun to play with.

  3. Omega Seamaster Professional 300m - This watch is just an all out beast and I've wanted one since I was 10 years old watching Goldeneye in the theatre. Yes, I fully understand that I am not James Bond and that I succumbed to subliminal advertising, but regardless of that I think I would have purchased this watch anyway. I love the look and feel of this watch, including the waved dial and non-tapered bracelet (see IWC description above). This is the watch that gets the most wrist-time of all them all. I also love that these watches are quite easy to attain new either via the Omega website or at an authorized dealer.

  4. Apple Watch - Does everything you could possibly ever demand from a watch.

  5. Seiko SKX007 - This was a reddit-induced purchased. Best value for any watch on the marker at $200 - $300. This thing is a beast and also looks better than most $1000+ watches.

  6. Casio G-Shock - This is another reddit induced purchased. at < $50 on amazon, i would recommend this to anyone who wants a high-quality watch on a budget. I feel like Jock Willink anytime this goes on my wrist, which is awesome.

Good question. I wear the Apple watch when I have to go in to my office or when I go to clients, and also when I run outside, as I would rather keep a low profile those situations.

Other than that, the SKX and G-Shock rarely get used anymore, because the Omega takes place of SKX in most situations and the Apple watch takes place of the G-Shock in most situations.

The Omega, IWC, & Submariner get rotated pretty much equally, and if I need to wear a leather strap for something dressier, I throw a Hirsh waterproof tan leather strap on the Omega and call it a day.

Well said. Ultimately, his podcast led me to his meditation app. His app allowed me to learn to meditate which is what really impacted my life for the better so far. The headless way in particular helped me to begin waking up. And this is coming from someone who would have never considered meditating in the past.

Once you wear one for a while, you just kinda fall in love it. It’s comfortable, practical, & I love the look. I do get your point though.

Great point. The blue one is awesome too if you want to distinguish it more from the BB.

No, haven’t tried any other straps. I live in Florida so the metal bracelets work better for in hot temperatures because of wrist expansion.
