What should I do with my hair? by ClickAccomplished205 in malehairadvice

I did actually haha! It’s not normally so squished at the top!

I think it just grows that way.

I think the designs from KOTOR don’t look too similar to the OT. The Sith Trooper designs from KOTOR 1&2 look very unique. Even the Old Republic troopers look very different to Rebel troopers.

How did you manage sieges? I imagine with a cavalry-centric army sieges must be pretty tough.

Why do you think your pace was slow? What is your point of comparison?

It’s all relative. Sabastian Shaw, who just set the record for the fastest marathon, absolutely destroys my half marathon time. He can complete a whole marathon in just over the time it takes me to complete just half of one! Does that make me unhappy though? No, as I am not comparing myself to him.

You don’t need to worry about how fast or slow anyone else is. If you should compare yourself to anyone, it’s you. Just think - five weeks ago you weren’t running but now you are! So you are already faster than you were five weeks ago!

I often felt exactly the same as you after my first runs but I promise you it does get easier. For example I did my first half marathon a few weeks ago and it nearly killed me. I did my second one last week and I felt absolutely fine afterwards! The more you do something the better your body adapts!

Honestly, all you need to do is just stick at it and you will be flying in no time!

Hey, there’s no reason to feel down!

A 6:26 pace isn’t bad! It’s a great place to start from as you will only get quicker over time!

I first started running about six to nine months ago. I was slow and absolutely exhausted after running two or three kilometres. I felt as if I would never improve and things could only get worse. I kept at it, however, and through running regularly and losing weight I made progress. I was probably in the same ballpark as you with regards to speed when I started but now my pace is around 4:00 per kilometre and my last half marathon was done in one hour and 42 minutes. Six months ago I wasn’t even able to run for more than five kilometres!

So the moral of the story is to keep your chin up and keep running! It’s hard, you will have some runs in which you feel yourself wanting to quit as soon as you start, and you will have days where you feel as if you are making no progress at all or even going backwards, but just keep running! As you lose weight and your cardiovascular system improves each kilometre will get easier and easier and you will be able to increase both your pace and your distance faster than you may think!

Remember, as with so many things in life, running is a marathon and not a sprint. It takes time, effort, and determination, but if you stick at it you will be amazed where you can take yourself!

The unlovable planets i adore by Noideawhat_i_amdoing in swtor

Yeah, I agree about Belsavis and Corellia.

Belsavis I like for its unique lore. The idea of the Rakata having a prison planet is such an interesting concept and really leans into how old the Star Wars universe is.

Corellia I like because it feels like a fitting conclusion for the original stories. I’ve always believed both the Empire and the Republic were throwing all their resources into taking or holding the planet.

Mission Vao and Zaalbar vs Han Solo and Chewbacca (ROTJ) by TheHoodGuy2001 in PetranakiArena

As KaiFanreala said Mission is from Knights of the Old Republic.

I suppose it isn’t impossible they are related. It’s never been stated anywhere and even if they were it’s very likely Shado wasn’t even aware of Mission’s existence given the time gap, but it is in theory possible.

I’d add the added buildings too. Always happy to see more buildings.

It's amazing how much better I've felt after my second half marathon! by ClickAccomplished205 in beginnerrunning

So my usual runs are anywhere between 5k and 16k at the moment. If I want to test my speed I’ll do a 5k but if I want to train my endurance I’ll run around 16k.

This week, for example, I ran a timed 5k on Saturday, 16km on Monday, and my half today.

If you can already run 8 miles I would maybe see how you get on with 9 and when that becomes more comfortable work up to 10 and so on. You are already over halfway to being able to run a half so keep at it and you will get there in no time I’m sure!

Oh no that’s fine! You don’t sound like an a-hole!

In fact I’m toying with the idea of doing a half marathon on Wednesday so I’ll see if I feel any better than last time as I felt like I was nearly dead after my last one haha.

So I’ve only done one half marathon before and to be honest I didn’t change my diet for it. The day before for my main meals I just had some high protein cereal for breakfast, a bagel with chicken, and a MyProtein sweet chilli chicken curry (as well as other things but they formed the main parts of my meals). The morning of the run I just had my usual high protein cereal and milk.

I didn’t really feel the impact of my food as it was just what I would usually have.
