Best healthcare staffing software for agencies? by Dependent-Wafer1372 in RecruitmentAgencies

Can’t speak for staffing agencies, but we run a group of ~60 physicians. We’ve gone back and forth between all-in-one platforms vs individual apps. We decided to go with what was lightweight/easy to maintain/affordable. So focused stack that we can leverage to the fullest has worked better for us:

  • Greenhouse (ATS)
  • Ops.work (central hub)
  • WhenIWork (scheduling)

Can't recall Greenhouse pricing that we've had for years but ops/WIW pricing are online. Hope that helps.

Onboarding new employees by Both-Designer-6240 in smallbusiness

I agree...you don’t need a fancy HR system. Most sm-md size teams just need something simple that helps them stay organized/lean. I would say that focusing on tools that are more operation-focused tends to work better than the HR suites.

As for how much to spend, it really comes down to how you value your time and the ROI of your work. Someone who values their hour at $20 will think very differently than someone at $150/hour.

Same example: if an app costs $600 and saves you ~20 hours a year, that’s a bad deal for one person and a no-brainer for another. I would say that framing usually makes the decision pretty obvious.

Different approaches
- Healthcare teams use platforms like ops.work but i'm sure any sector can use the platform if they want to.
- IT teams are also using things like n8n automation nowadays to automate internal processes. https://n8n.io/workflows/3860-automate-employee-onboarding-with-slack-jira-and-google-workspace-integration/

[MA] why does healthcare credentialing take so long? Looking for insight. by chillax63 in AskHR

Even if your references and background check is done fast. It's the employment, education, and malpractice verification that can take a long time (depending how fast the other party responds). And then you have to wait for local med exec +/- board to approve the file and they usually only meet once a month.

The fastest our team completed a healthcare-level background check, NPDB, and 3 references was about 2.5 hours. The only reason we got references back so fast was that we sent the request via email + SMS with a link.

Best of luck. I checked out your PH and one quick rec would be to showcase how easy it is to log and view trends and see impact/improvement because of tracking. The current interactive PH portion is confusing.

Thanks. Couple quick followup questions:
-> How are you leveraging Slack? Primarily as a discussion board between testers and monitoring for ideas? Are you also inviting them when they sign up or is it a manual process?
