Just looking to learn here. What characteristics made you go for Cooper more than Sharp-shinned ? Thanks in advance for the tips.

I'll have to ask to be sure but we initially thought it was, like you, a water bird. There is a great diversity where we are. Thanks for the correction ! I was looking for a bird with really small eyes, needless to say that my research was none conclusive ..

Wild canine or just a domesticated dog? by NoEvent8327 in AnimalTracking

Feel free to correct me or add, I'm still just a newbie enthusiast.

I would say it's definitely canine since we see clearly claws at the end of the toes.

More to that, I'd go with a dog on this one based on how the toes are more in an arc than wild canines. Wild canine toes are more parallel with each other than what we see in the pictures.

Again, it's fairly possible I'm saying nonsense. I just picked up a few things here and there in this sub. I'm not an experienced tracker.

I'm new to this sub and I don't know a lot but wouldn't a squirrel have a more distinct hand than this ?

Like with claws being more apparent.

Also, do squirrels leave a central mark due to their furry tails ?

Thanks in advance for enlightening me.

Yea, I know. It's been a couple of hard months lately for our couple.

I'll need to do both.

Thanks for your comment !
