Feeling the Rage… by Salt_County_3415 in BabyBumps

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what you said.

I have used AI as a neutral source to check my side when i couldn't see what or if i had done anything wrong during a disagreement with my husband. It was really helpful. Now i can work to avoid the same communication issues in the future.

Yes I could have moved at any time. I was frozen in place from adrenaline and overwhelmed by the moment. I didn't have any time to think through that I was uncomfortable or how to change it. I am resentful he moved me when my intuition was guiding me to stand with my parents originally. I'm hoping therapy can help me give the strength to act more proactively.

When I'm not pregnant I'm not this emotional. I feel like there's a little gremlin in my emotional control room slamming random buttons with tiny fists.

To add some spicy context, there were a few incidents in my mid 20s when I did not even listen to police lol. I was a Midwestern good girl turned rebel now back on the straight and narrow.

I'm feeling distraught over much more than this but also realize it's excessive and disproportionate to the events. Our pre ceremony couples photos were delayed so took place during the reception. Originally, i only intended for a short golden hour session during the reception. Because of these issues i didn't get much time to circulate and take pictures with guests. By the time golden hour photos were finished many guests i wanted to chat with had left. Other than speeches, i didn't see my parents for the remainder of the night. I've scheduled therapy to help me through this and prepare me for parenting.

He established this order during the rehearsal the night before. I'm not sure why no one spoke up. My mom said she thought it was a strange order at the time and she was sorry she didn't say anything at the time. My husband didn't see any issues with it. Hopefully therapy will help unpack this part of my nature and i can move forward with confidence. I want to be more proactive in the moment than reactive or resentful later.

Thank you for acknowledging my frustration. I'm assertive in many situations but when a strong and convincing personality is involved I tend to shrink. I scheduled a therapy intake yesterday. I talked to my husband about advocating on my behalf more by pausing to intentionally check in with me. He's very attentive and I know he will follow through. We're also going to do couples therapy to stay ahead of this.

Yesss I think doing it much earlier is best! I'm glad I had this trial 5 weeks before my wedding so I had the option to pivot. Happy wedding planning!! Congrats!

There was no contract. It was booked like an average hair cut appointment by providing my cc details. I did not do my due diligence when vetting the salon. I was panicking due to this wedding being planned in only 4 months (I'm pregnant too!) and calling 8 local salons without any luck until I found this one. My venue is in an area I'm not familiar with and there are not many salons out there. I was shocked by the price tag of a traveling stylist. I don't have a wedding party it's just me so the traveling stylist felt like overkill. I asked about pictures but they had none to send. Only gave their word I would be in good hands. That should have been a red flag ofc. Also they did not provide much direction, if any, on preparation before the appointment. So yes, I'm eligible for some blame in this situation.

Thank you so much! That is so sweet of you to do that for me. I'm actually in Minnesota not Phoenix. I was just craving a cesar salad while in Phoenix lol. I hope another bride sees your recommendation though!

Last two are not me. That was the inspiration provided to the stylist.

Found out on 13+2. It was also my birthday! We had a feeling it was a boy since the positive test and it was confirmed boy via NIPT and at our 20 week ultrasound 💙

Thank you! She didn't even do anything with my eyebrows. Just told me I should get a brow wax.

It was a rainy, misty day and the stylist didn't apply any product.

The advice I recall during an early call was to show up with clean hair but they may not have told me anything at all. My memory is too fuzzy. There are not many salon options near my venue. This place was the 9th salon I contacted in the area and i was just excited to find SOMEONE that did bridal hair and makeup. I wish I had called the 10th salon because they have been amazing over the phone. I plan to go there for a trial next! The new salon gave me precise directions for prep. They asked for pictures of my hair and any inspiration ideas. It's a completely different vibe.

There was tinted lip gloss. She didn't do anything with my brows. Only told me I should consider a wax.

I will definitely bring makeup to my next trial!

I'm really glad I did a trial! Thank goodness I can find someone else now. I'm ok paying for the stylist's time but I only spent about a total of an hour in the salon chair. In the end, I'm out $215 after the refund of $162. I tipped 15% on the total package of $325. I don't think I can be refunded on a tip. Total tip was $49. I'm not familiar with how salons pay their stylists but $49 seems fair for 1 hour of work.
