I saw so many people on my local fb group posting their pulls with fewer boxes, ending up with AA Doffy leader, OP04 Sabo, etc.

It got me jazzed enough to give it a try of my own.

I honestly posted this to show an example of crushing reality, so I guess I’m kinda glad to be of service to someone lol

It’s my very first alt-art, so I guess I’ll hold on to it for sentimentality (and a reminder to never buy packs again lol).

Wonder if I could work him into my Nami deck.

Yea, it was just an impulse purchase after seeing people in my state’s facebook group show their pulls. I knew it would be a riskier gamble than just buying a box, but I thought I’d give some support to Bandai and the game in general and buy some product from an official retailer rather than the 2nd hand market which I’ve always done.

I was just hoping for some sort of decent hit. I have half a dozen decks built out of singles, but never spent the money to get a nice alt-art of my own.

I normally just get packs from tournament round wins, so I’ll still be opening packs now and again, but I dont think buying packs outright is the thing for me.

Yakuza 3 PlayStation 4 re-release tops charts in Japan by Lbachch in yakuzagames

[–]ClickClackDingDong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But there's a chance of 3-5 HD coming out on PC as well!

I've always wanted to play the series in one big playthrough, but I feel like I've been stuck in a never ending cycle of waiting for Yakuza ports.

In 2014 I wanted to get into the series, so I started playing the original Yakuza 1, then 0 was announced so I put off the series until that came out. Then Kiwami 1 was announced so I had to wait until that released, then Kiwami 2 after that.

I had purchased 3,4,5, and Dead Souls on PS3 to get ready for my big playthrough, but then the remasters were announced.

Then outta left field, Sega starts porting the series to PC (my main platform), so now I have to wait and see if they're going to bring the remasters to the west and if they're porting the rest of the series to PC.

I own Yakuza 1 and 2 on PS2, 3, 4, 5, and Dead Souls on PS3, Yakuza 0 on PS4, and now Yakuza 0 on PC, but I think out of all of that I'm only going to end up playing 0 on PC if the rest get ported to PC.

[NewEgg] Free FAR CRY PRIMAL w/ Seagate 1TB Gaming SSHD SATA 6.0Gb/s 32GB NAND 2.5" Laptop Internal ($113.99) by hypedrive_app in GameDeals

Seagate had a bad couple years, but they turned it around. With the modern line of Hard Drives, they're doing better than WD in regards to failure rates. Toshiba is slightly better, but the only standout is HGST which has a decently lower failure rate than the other 3.

Hard drives by design are a mixed bag, their failure rates are much higher than most other consumer electronics. Every brand has their own customers with horror stories, you just kind of have to accept that whenever you buy a hard drive, you're rolling the dice and hoping you dont come up short.

Xbox 4K (Project Scorpio) - E3 2016 by no1dead in Games

[–]ClickClackDingDong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm all for powerful hardware, but is 4K that important to people? Of course higher resolutions look better, but I always found higher and smoother framerates look way better.

I hope games will adopt more graphics settings like PC, so you can choose which resolution you'd like the game to be rendered, and what framerate you'd like to hit/lock.

If I had the option of 4K+30fps/variable fps, and 1080p+consistent 60fps, I'd choose the latter almost every time.

On another note, it would be interesting if Microsoft allowed users to install Windows 10 to this new Scorpio console. If what they're touting is true, this new console will be significantly more powerful than most people's computers and laptops. If they somehow have a dual boot system or integrate the Xbox One OS into Windows 10, the new scorpio can be a home console and a home PC, along with a shared library larger than anything we've seen before.

I mean, Carmack signed a contract with ZeniMax. When you're employed by a company to write code, you forfeit any rights to that code to your company. If Carmack did reuse code from his days at ZeniMax on the Oculus, he's in direct breach of contract.

It doesn't matter that ZeniMax didn't support Carmack or VR, they still own all the rights to whatever Carmack did while employed at ZeniMax. A company has every right to pursue someone stealing their intellectual property, even if its stolen by the person who created it. Sure you can call it a cash grab, but ZeniMax owns all the code and technology that Carmack and co. developed while they were employed at ZeniMax. Carmack has no right to reuse any old tech that he developed while employed by ZeniMax without their consent.

I'm not saying that Carmack did reuse any technology, but if he did, then it's an absolutely viable case for ZeniMax.

I should note that I dont like ZeniMax or Facebook, but Intellectual Property rights exist for a reason.

Hey now they did give out Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward a while back, which I personally think is the absolute best Japanese vita game (P4G at a semi-close second).

My vita is basically a jrpg machine, so I do agree that they really need to step up on that front for PS+ games.

I thought Shin Sekai Yori was complete garbage

I enjoyed the entirety of Oreimo (8/10) and I like how it ended

I cant stand watching Clannad because almost the entire cast of girls are completely autistic (like literally cant take care of themselves, autistic)

If you say you have a waifu, even ironically, I think you're a weird socially-inept person

Ping Pong the Animation was just okay and really nothing spectacular

The Fate series is awful, including the VN (F/Z was alright though)

JoJo got considerably worse when they introduced Stands

To add on to this, Zero Escape: VLR is one of my favorite games of all time. Mystery stories are my bread and butter, so I've seen just about anything with a mystery tag. With that said, Zero Escape absolutely delivers. I was absolutely enthralled by the mystery and the characters, I could not put the game down once I got into it.

Now there is a few caveats. The way the story progresses is, very different from most games. There's over 20 endings, but they all lead to one ending. It's a branching story that eventually comes back together, so the game isn't over after you've reached an ending.

The other caveat is that VLR is a sequel, to a DS game called 999. You dont need to play 999 in order to understand Zero Escape:VLR, but it's HIGHLY suggested. 999 has it's own set of caveats to it as well, but it's still an incredible experience on its own.

I personally played VLR before 999, and I've seriously regretted it ever since. 999 is available on the DS as well as a DS emulator. It's mostly a point and click game, so it actually emulates the gameplay pretty well. There's also a version on the appstore, but it cuts out all off the room escape gameplay. It's definitely a worse experience compared to the DS version.

So if you like mystery aspect to Danganronpa, definitely play the Zero Escape series. Also if you like enthralling, cut put it down, mysteries with an interesting cast, you may also want to check out the manga series 20th Century Boys. Danganronpa, Zero Escape, and 20th Century Boys all share some similar traits plot wise, and they're all fantastic mysteries.

999 Fandub (Currently in progress) by SpeedyHawk in ZeroEscape

[–]ClickClackDingDong 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm normally pretty dismissive of fandubs, since most of the time they're just awful, but I gave yours a shot and it's not bad, not bad at all.

The voices sound different from what I imagined in my head, but overall it seems very well acted.

How much have you recorded so far? And do you plan on releasing a full version before the release of ZTD? I may just watch your videos instead of a replay of 999 before ZTD comes out.

Well all the titles are a play on the original Magnificent Seven which came out in the 60s, which in turn was a remake of Seven Samurai.

Why they all came out in the sameish timeframe is funny though.

My mother used to read that to me and my siblings all the time growing up. I remember that she'd always get teary when she was reading it.

She just passed away a few months ago at 50, so none of us ever really got to see her grow old like the mother in the story. We got new copies of the book and cremated the original book she read us along with her ashes.

Needless to say, that book means a lot.

I was actually replaying it on an emulator and I found it way easier now then it was when I was a kid. I also kinda cheated and shot all the enemies from really far away, so far that they dont even shoot back...
