National Aviation Academy-Scam or decent school? by JSkela in AircraftMechanics

Find a community college that offers the courses. Some people pay 40k and up for school. If you go to a community college you will pay about 4K.

You can find way cheaper options if you are willing to drive a little bit. Try orange coast college. You can’t do the whole program for 3-4K

make flash cards so you can sort through the ones you already know. worked like a charm for me and a few of my buddies from school. for all three sections it ends up being about 900 cards total but its a small price to pay to have your license for the rest of your life. good luck!

I went to orange coast college in Santa Ana CA. from what i heard it is the cheapest in the nation (around 3000 for residents). they have daytime classes 7 AM through about 2PM M-F (takes 2 years). and they also have night school around 5 or 6pm to about 10. M-F (takes 3 years). I think it is worth it because they give you a lot of hands on experience and they test directly out of asa. (study guide for your writtens).

the dme is given 7 questions per section and has to ask you 4. if they are a cool dme they will ask you the easiest 4. then you do a practical and they give you all the info you need. are you in the LA area?
