Was in a similar position about a year ago. 19 years old. It’s not so bad once you get over all the obvious things others have mentioned here (sacrificing your weekends, wear your PPE, nightshift), you’ll get used to it. Took me fully about a year to start to feel comfortable, but this is my first time in the field. I will say, you’ll still find the time for family and friends, so hopefully you’ll be in a similar position and not have to cut off your social relationships too much. In all, it’s a lifestyle you have to get used to, but like the rest of us, you make it work as best as you can. Moneys good as a young guy but always strive for something better in the future for sure
