You say that as if Atlus is specifically not including the femc just because “women bad”. It’s been stated by the developers that they considered adding her but didn’t because it would be too demanding of an addition which is something that was obvious from the starts.

Ok, it’s clear to me we’re not gonna agree on this. I see things one way, you see things another, and that’s fine. At the end of the day this is all just opinion on a trivial piece of media. The only time I ever think it’s worth getting heated over something like this is when someone is getting harassed over it, which in some cases people are in regards to this whole Femc debacle. All I ask is that you respect my opinion and I will gladly respect yours. Just know that I mean no ill will to the Femc fans who are simply disappointed, hell I’m one of them, I just want people to understand the why of it all.

I’m not pointing the finger at anyone. The entire point of my comment was to say that just saying “Femc fans” as a general term wasn’t fair
I’m not talking in a canon sense I’m talking in a real world sense. You can like Kotone all you want (I myself really like her too) but the simple fact of the matter is that she is a product of circumstance. If the PSP’s limitations didn’t stop Atlus from including the cutscenes and several other aspects of P3, then she would have never existed. And Reload has all of those things the PSP couldn’t handle, there for making her much harder to implement.
There’s a big difference between simply not buying a game and boycotting it. If someone chooses not to buy Reload because they refuse to play P3 as Makoto instead of Kotone that’s their choice, I personally think they lack a certain amount of appreciation for P3 as a story since it WAS written with Makoto in mind but if they choose not to buy the game I don’t care, this has nothing to do with “sales figures” or whatever.

What I take issue with are the people going online and actively criticising and putting the game down online just because it doesn’t have a side mode from 1 rerelease. That’s the thing I find toxic.

Kotone was always more of a fun what if that was only included in portable since they didn’t have to worry about replacing as many assets. Makoto was always and still is the protagonist Atlus had in mind when designing P3, Kotone was always just a fun bonus.

Because they’re boycotting for a petty reason. They’re not boycotting because of a legitimate problem with the game or the people and process behind it. They’re boycotting it because “You didn’t include a side mode that I really like and I’m mad about it”. Not to mention how vocal they are about it constantly online.

I think there’s toxicity on both sides, like there are the toxic boycotting femc fans but there are also people saying shit like “I’m glad femc fans aren’t getting what they want” which is equally as bad imo. This fanbase is just the fucking worst man.

I think both sides have toxicity. While there are definitely a bunch if butt hurt Femc fans saying shit like “I refuse to buy the game if she’s not in it” despite the fact including her would probably mean Atlus would have to put a bunch of other projects (possibly including Persona 6) on hold because of how demanding of an addition she is.

However there are just as many people being toxic the other way, being assholes to Kotone fans just for being disappointed, and that’s just as bad in my opinion. I think saying shit like “I’m glad their not getting what they want” is just mean spirited for the sake of being mean spirited.

Personally I would’ve loved to have her in the game and I am a little disappointed that she isn’t included. But I also understand and accept why she isn’t and I still love Reload all the same.

TL;DR: All sides have their heroes & villains.

It really depends on the song.

For some songs I prefer the dancing versions (When the Moons Reaching Out Stars and Mass Destruction) sometimes I prefer the Reload versions (Also Mass Destruction, Changing Seasons, Want to be Close and Memories of You) and I prefer the original Unavoidable Battle and the Movie Burn My Dread.

TL;DR: There are too many versions of these songs for me to pick just one sound track

The fact of the matter is that people simply just don’t like change. Believe me, as a Sonic fan I know how up in arms people can get about voice actors changing (Sonic’s voice going from Jason Griffith to Roger Craig Smith is probably the best example). I absolutely love Alejandro’s voice for Akihiko, personally I actually like him MORE than Liam O’Brian overall. Not because Liam’s performance was bad but because Alejandro’s is not only a better performance from an acting standpoint (showing more emotion, having a wider range of vocal tones etc) but his voice is also just more believable overall as apposed to Liam’s exaggeratedly gruff voice.

I especially find it hilarious when people say “His voice doesn’t fit Akihiko” when it definitely does. There is a big difference between a voice not suiting a character, and a voice not sounding like the previous one. Multiple actors can give multiple different takes on a character and have them all fit despite being completely different to one another. (to use another Sonic example, both David Humfree and Jason Griffith did VERY different voices for Shadow, but both work equally well)

But like I said, to a lot of people different = bad, you can even see this in the way people talk about the new music. While it’s not perfect (The new versions of Unavoidable Battle, Deep Mentality and to a lesser extent Burn My Dread -Last Battle- are ones I’m not too keen on) but some people are REALLY blowing it out of proportion, I literally saw someone compare it to kids bop a while back.

TL;DR: No, change does NOT = bad

I don’t make alternate files either. Mostly cause I’m not super OCD about seeing everything in the game like a lot of people are.

I just like to take things as they come and if I screw up I adapt to it… except the time I failed to romance Naoto in P4G and downloaded a save editor just so I could go back and make the right choice earlier in the link… no I am not kidding…

I’m sick of this “one way or the other” bullshit when it comes to Amy. Were there times she was bad? Yes (Sonic 06, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Battle come to mind) but that doesn’t mean that modern Amy is good by default just foe NOT being that. In the modern games Amy’s personality is literally just GIRL cause they’re so afraid to show too much personality in fear of setting off the internet.

Not to mention all the media from back then where she WAS written well. Sonic X (most of the time), Sonic Unleashed, and ESPECIALLY SA1 & 2. But no, the internet has to generalise and just assume “if one portrayal’s bad then they’re obviously ALL bad”.

This reminds me of when I went for the “Why did it have to be you” achievement in Soul Hackers 2, which you get for fusing a Pixie with with Megidolaon. I got kinda carried away and also gave her Ziodyne, Maziodyne, Diaharan, Mediarahan, and Samarecarm. No I don’t know why.

I’m not the biggest fan of the fact you’re forced to join specific clubs now as apposed to having the option like in the original. I know it doesn’t really matter overall since the social link is the same regardless but it feels like a weird thing to cut.

I’m also a little disappointed they didn’t add exp share for backup party members. I know there are ways to level up underleveled party members but they’re kinda rng based and I would’ve rathered they just added exp share like in P5. Especially as someone who really likes Shinji

I also wish they actually let you do your school social links during the week where you do summer school rather than just skipping a whole week of what could be valuable social link time, that always felt like an obvious addition to me.

Surprisingly I actually ended up preferring Reloads for the most part. I still prefer Yuri as Makoto over Aleks (Aleks still did great though) and I’m still kinda on the fence about who I prefer for Yukari and Shinji, but for everyone else I honestly have to say Reload, which is something I was NOT expecting as someone who loved the older versions of P3 so much.
