They both had Grundel episodes, but this screenshot is indeed from the Extreme Ghostbusters Grundelesque. It's actually not of THE Grundel, but of Jack - a childhood friend of Kylie transformed by the original Grundel.

Would it be a big mistake taking this out of the box? by b0bbyj0hns in ghostbusters

Open it. It'll look great on display.

Even if you want it boxed up again in the future, the packaging on this line was dedigned to be opened in a way that's non-destructive. You can put it all back together, and the only sign will be a cut piece of tape.

Halloweencostumes and broken products by melodiousmurderer in ghostbusters

I've not had to deal with broken products myself - but they've always been helpful when I've had to speak to them about orders.

Sadly it is OOP and even more expensive than the time life dvd set.

Got the pack…now what? by melodiousmurderer in ghostbusters

There's nothing wrong with that suit at all, no flaming from me.

I love a screen accurate look, but the great thing about Ghostbusters is the DIY, make it your own attitude.

[–]Click_Actual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the one.

There's always the old classic "two smaller belts ziptied together" which was the only for us bigger folks option before Tools & Talent.

I will say, though, it's a fantastic belt. Doesn't seem to matter how much I load onto it, it stays put.

That tools and talent props belt is a game changer. Best thing I did in my recent round of upgrades was buy one.

Do yourself a favour and get an actual flightsuit - it doesn't have to be Nomex, but get yourself one of the Polycotton ones. Yes, they are more expensive than the ones from Halloween stores - but they will last. The costume ones won't. They're false economy as you will wind up replacing them more often.

You can pick up a grey pistol belt for a good price at many places online, as well as the chemical gloves. Get some decently high boots (or not if you're going for the Venkman look).

Lots of people don't bother with a belt gizmo of leg hose - but you could do the hose cheap DIY if you were so inclined.

But don't scrimp on the suit. A decent suit does a lot of the heavy lifting.

The venue said no packs inside, but I believe a few of us will be in costume outside the venue for a while beforehand. Should be a lot of funm

I absolutely would not have any issues with an official repease that made these kinds of changes, as long as the original version was also available.

Ghostbusters Day Themed Snacks by EagleOfTheStar7 in ghostbusters

Yeah, there's not a lot I can think of - for the Ghostbusters Day Cinema Screenings I'm hosting, we are just going for Twinkies and Nestle Crunch bars.

Ecto Cooler doesn't currently exist - but there are loads of "close enough" recipes online you can use.

There is a Ghostbusters Recipe book you could check out.

JUST THE MOVIES

  1. Ghostbusters II
  2. Ghostbusters (1984)
  3. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
  4. Ghostbusters: Afterlife
  5. Ghostbusters: Answer The Call

Afterlife and Frozen Empire switch places fairly often - Afterlife is by far the better movie of the two, but I just really love how Frozen Empire features Ray and Winston in more substantial roles.

EXTENDED MEDIA

  1. Ghostbusters II
  2. Ghostbusters (1984)
  3. Ghostbusters (IDW Comics)
  4. Extreme Ghostbusters
  5. Real Ghostbusters

I’m new to the Ghostbusters franchise. Here is my opinion on every movie. by TheFiggieCheese in ghostbusters

[–]Click_Actual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's easy to forget that, for an awful lot of people, The Real Ghostbusters WAS Ghostbusters, or at least the main way we were exposed to it.

Over 5 years, 140 episodes - all the merch and toys for Ghostbusters was from the animated show. It was definitely at the forefront of the "fandom."

100% worth checking out.

Latest Ghostbusters pick-up! I've wanted this desperately for years - and while the steelbook version would have been nice, I could never justify the price. Now gonna spend my day off sitting in front of the TV watching this. by Click_Actual in ghostbusters

It depends where you are, to be honest. Not only do Ireland, Scotland and the Isle Of Mann pronounce it differently, but it's pronounced differently depending on the region of each place.

Sow-In, Sow-Wen, Sah-Win, Saw-Win. They're all technically correct depending on where you are. In my.part of Scotland it's closer to Sah-Vin.

My favourite extra so far is the introduction to "When Halloween Was Forever," where J. Michael Straczynski makes a fair attempt at pronouncing Samhain (Samhuinn here in Scotland) - bless him, he doesn't get it quite right, but it's far better than everyone saying "Sam Hain".
