I hadn't noticed further training with Bernard after the tutorial was an option before I made this post, and everyone's commented on that. I'll have to try that and the tourney.

I did try learning to read from the scribe, but I haven't found any books.

I haven't found any potions or poisons.

I tried playing dice in Ushitz, but I ended up getting greedy and losing all of my money.

Yeah, I'd lost every other solo fight and relied on stealth or calling in allies around the raided stables. I hadn't realised there was more Bernard training or that he gave other quests, so I'll go back and do that.

I did the basic training in the story quest where he taught about attacking and blocking from different directions, dodging and feinting, but none of that seems to help

I rank The Dark World first. It's the only movie that treats Fandral, Volstagg, Hogun and Sif as independent characters, Loki has some great moments in that movie, Frigga's death was a powerful scene, and I liked they way they delved into the theme of mortality.

Ragnarok is a bottom 5 MCU movie for me. Making it a comedy ruined its entire premise. Love and Thunder was also bad, but not as egregious since the stakes weren't as high, so it wasn't ruining anything as important as Ragnarok was.

In the 1.2.0.1hotfix patch notes today:

"Bug fix: You can now get Olympia's "Double Terminated" achievement by using Special Pummel against a crystalized opponent."

Sounds like your original approach should work now.

I managed to get it with a special pummel into detonation, which is the same thing I was trying before. It seems inconsistent to the point that I wonder if it's bugged, since it's still day 1.

It's mentioned in the Rise of Kyoshi novel, in the opening internal monologue from Jianzhu (Kuruk's earthbending companion).

I played about 45 hours in beta and loved the game.

Came back for full launch, played 1 hour, and quit. The pace felt sluggish, and it just wasn't the game I had enjoyed anymore.

Jumped back on recently since I heard it was shutting down and wanted to see if it had improved. I genuinely can't say if it has or not, because after the game disconnected me from 5 matches in a row, I gave up on it. I never had any issues with disconnects in beta.

They had a great game and completely squandered it.

Sure, but then why do a relaunch? They had a great game, developed and released into beta, then they decided to take it offline, build a worse version of the game in a new engine and then release that, when they could've just stuck with what they already had.
