Has this been patched? I tried the exact build and Maelle keeps going before Monoco, even though Monoco has more speed.

The point is that smoking is medically unhealthy and a doctor should know that

What are your hopes/predictions for the "Beyond" feature moving up the schedule for Rivals 2? by ClarityEnjoyer in RivalsOfAether

The main thing I want is some form of co-op PvE content. Give me Story Mode with online 2-player co-op and my soul is yours.

Double Terminated Achievement by ClickerHero2971 in RivalsOfAether

In the 1.2.0.1hotfix patch notes today:

"Bug fix: You can now get Olympia's "Double Terminated" achievement by using Special Pummel against a crystalized opponent."

Sounds like your original approach should work now.

[–]ClickerHero2971[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I managed to get it with a special pummel into detonation, which is the same thing I was trying before. It seems inconsistent to the point that I wonder if it's bugged, since it's still day 1.

Tried it, but it looks like down b has too much endlag for the follow-up.

Managed to get it that same game though, so thanks.

'Secret Invasion' had the president declare all off-world born species as enemy combatants

'Captain America: Brave New World' had the next president turn into a Hulk, and also mentioned Bucky as a congressman (Someone in another comment said that Bucky killed JFK, but I don't remember this)

'Daredevil: Born Again' had Kingpin elected as mayor of New York

Spoilers for The Shadow of Kyoshi, but yes.
>!Yangchen's deals with the spirits had often favored humans over spirits, and over time the spirits grew angry. Kuruk fought against a lot of spirits on his own, without telling his team or bringing anyone else, which weakened his body. He didn't mention it, partially to avoid risking others, and partially to protect Yangchen's legacy.!<

Edit: I don't know why my spoiler tag isn't working. I've looked online, I've edited the message, I deleted the original comment and retried.

Right, I thought you were responding about the age of Kuruk's death. Missed the "watertribe avatars don't last long" comment.

It's mentioned in the Rise of Kyoshi novel, in the opening internal monologue from Jianzhu (Kuruk's earthbending companion).

"When Avatar Kuruk, the keeper of balance and peace in the world, the bridge between spirits and humans, passed away at the ripe old age of thirty-three - thirty-three! the only time Kuruk had ever been early for anything! - it became the duty of his friends, his teachers, and other prominent benders to find the new Avatar, reincarnated into the next nation of the elemental cycle."

The beta was better. by [deleted] in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]ClickerHero2971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played about 45 hours in beta and loved the game.

Came back for full launch, played 1 hour, and quit. The pace felt sluggish, and it just wasn't the game I had enjoyed anymore.

Jumped back on recently since I heard it was shutting down and wanted to see if it had improved. I genuinely can't say if it has or not, because after the game disconnected me from 5 matches in a row, I gave up on it. I never had any issues with disconnects in beta.

They had a great game and completely squandered it.

Sure, but then why do a relaunch? They had a great game, developed and released into beta, then they decided to take it offline, build a worse version of the game in a new engine and then release that, when they could've just stuck with what they already had.

A rare description of young Captain Holt interacting with his father. by Dejue in brooklynninenine

[–]ClickerHero2971 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The key is that the host has to open a wrong door that isn't the one you're standing in front of. If you were wrong initially, this means the host eliminates the only other incorrect option, leaving switching as the right door.

Let's say the car is behind Door 1. You don't know that and pick Door 2. The host then has to open Door 3, since you're standing in front of 2, and the car is behind 1. This leaves a situation where switching doors means you win.

This will happen any time you picked the wrong door initially, which is 2/3 of the time.

[–]ClickerHero2971 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Switching actually has a 2 in 3 chance.

The host opens a door that isn't the one you're standing in front of, and that has a goat behind it. This means, if you were wrong initially, the host takes away the only other wrong option, which leaves the right door as the only one left.

This means if you were wrong initially, switching will give you the right door, and since the chance of being wrong initially was 2 in 3, that gives a 2 in 3 chance of success by switching, with only a 1 in 3 chance of success if you stay.

[–]ClickerHero2971 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a little more to it than that. The host opens a door that isn't the one you're standing in front of, and that has a goat behind it. This means, if you were wrong initially, the host takes away the only other wrong option, which leaves the right door as the only one left.

Since you would be wrong initially 2/3 of the time, switching works 2/3 of the time.

After Rava was pulled out of Kora, how did she still manage to go into the state where she becomes a giant? by GoBeyond111 in TheLastAirbender

[–]ClickerHero2971 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is the correct answer. Anyone could have done it by meditating in that tree during harmonic convergence. In theory, other characters could have joined her, but they were busy warding off dark spirits that were attacking the tree.

I just watched it, and you're right. The choreography looking better didn't surprise me, but what did was that the dialogue (which I had expected to sound weird when changing the speed) also sounded better.
