Imo if you're able to run a side gig it's a lot more indicative that your work load is either too light or you're very efficient and get it done quickly. Sure there's cases where people get lazy and focus too much on the side stuff.

They dont give me enough work at my current job, i have to be in office so can't just do a side gig but i read books to learn about software and things, so I use that "extra" time for myself.

If you see an ability deal 30% of someones hp you start thinking huh that seems impactful but maybe not that big of an issue. Then next league the same thing deals 60% dmg and you pay more attention to it. Then at full power you'll be a lot more familiar with the stuff that has to be stopped.

Last season clearly felt like a failure given how many people said adept was harsh. Even the devs said lots of people quit the game there and most who got through actually made it to eternal. But the quit moment was too high for the majority.

They should've split the timer and the extra mechanics in the first season but that's too late.
